11. Say Anything (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson. A fairly charming and moderately realistic tale that helps distinguish itself from other teen-oriented flicks of the period.

12. Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The launching pad for many famous actors, Fast Times At Ridgemont High remains an entertaining flick. It’s fun to see due to all the well-known participants, and it manages a reasonable amount of good material despite some inconsistencies. Starring Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh. Universal, $29.98, 12/21/1999.

14. Fast Times At Ridgemont High: Special Edition (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I’m not wild about Fast Times, I like it enough to recommend it. Should owners of the old DVD upgrade and get this new one? Probably not. Picture and extras are the same for both versions, so the only change comes from the new 5.1 soundtracks. Those do better the audio from the original version but I don’t think the sound is improved enough to w

16. PJ20 (Pearl Jam Twenty) (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a long-time Pearl Jam fan, I looked forward to PJ20, and the career retrospective didn’t disappoint. Sure, it lacked some “nuts and bolts” details, but it compensated with emotional depth and insight. The DVD provides acceptable picture and audio as well as a few supplements. It’s too bad the DVD doesn’t pack more bonus features, but it’s still a stro

17. Harold and Maude (Paramount Presents Edition) [Blu-Ray] (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: How an overbearing clunker like Harold and Maude has maintained a cult fanbase for 50 years befuddles me. I found little to enjoy in this obnoxious tale and actively disliked the vast majority of it. Starring Ruth Gordon, Bud Cort. Paramount, $25.99, 12/7/2021.

18. Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe someday someone will recut The Song Remains the Same to omit all the extraneous footage and show only live material. Unless that happens, Song will remain a frustrating document of vintage Led Zeppelin. While it provides a lot of good music, the visual excesses make it a chore to watch at times ... The Led Zeppelin DVD remains the best look at the

19. Paul McCartney: The Space Within US (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Someday before I die, I hope to get a Paul McCartney concert DVD that accurately represents the live experience. The Space Within US isn’t that DVD. It has a lot of good music and some solid moments, but it spends too much time with extraneous elements and takes us from the stage too frequently. Starring Paul McCartney. A&E, $24.95, 11/14/2006.

20. David Bowie: Rare And Unseen (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you want a collection of unusual performance segments, you won’t find them in David Bowie: Rare and Unseen. However, you will get a generally interesting compilation of interview pieces. The DVD comes with weak picture and audio, and it lacks supplements. This one won’t have mass appeal, but it’s a good purchase for serious Bowie fans. Starring David
