31. Rocky II: The Undisputed Collection [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A nice mix of extras certainly would have made Rocky II more appealing, as the movie itself didn’t do much for me. Oh, it’s a fairly entertaining piece of fluff, but it lacks any form of depth or drama. All it represents is a happier version of the first movie. The Blu-ray provides positive sound but comes with a dirty transfer and virtually no extras. S

32. Rocky [Blu-Ray] (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Rocky continues to hold up well after 33 years. The movie marks the creative high point of Sylvester Stallone’s career, and it offers a moving and inspirational look at a bum made good. The Blu-ray provides decent picture and audio but omits significant extras. This release serves the film in an acceptable way but doesn’t really impress. Starring Sylvest

33. Rambo III [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it was supposed to make a mint, 1988’s Rambo III tanked and killed the franchise – well, at least until Stallone decided to revive it 20 years later. In its own right, Rambo III isn’t that bad, but it certainly doesn’t offer much that seems original or compelling. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna. Lions Gate, $14.98, 5/27/2008.

34. Cobra: Collector's Edition [Blu-ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 1980s cheese of the most pungent variety, Cobra plays much more as parody than anything else. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer compelling parody, so it becomes a silly, ridiculous action effort. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Brigitte Nielsen. Shout, $29.99, 1/22/2019.

35. Cop Land [Blu-Ray] (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Somewhat overwrought but generally compelling, Cop Land enjoys an excellent cast and an intriguing concept. It plods at times and goes off onto too many diversions, the movie nonetheless comes across as mostly engaging and well made. The Blu-ray delivers somewhat erratic but usually positive picture along with good audio and a reasonably informative set

36. Rambo III (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a mindless shoot-em-up, Rambo III has some moments, but it never does anything to distinguish itself.

37. Rocky IV (1985)

38. Rambo: Last Blood [4K UHD] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Easily the lowest-grossing film in the series, I suspect Rambo: Last Blood will finally put the franchise to rest. I can’t bemoan this possibility, as Last Blood offers a thin, predictable kill-fest with little merit. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Paz Vega. Lionsgate, $42.99, 12/17/2019.

39. Creed II [4K UHD] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An erratic sequel, Creed II fares best when it focuses on its supporting roles. When it concentrates on the leads, it becomes less engaging. Starring Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson. Warner, $44.95, 3/5/2019.

40. Nighthawks [Blu-Ray] (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Parts of Nighthawks threaten to turn exciting, but too much of the movie seems sluggish and disjointed. The film never manages to kick into gear and feels oddly free from passion. Starring Sylvester Stallone, Rutger Hauer. Shout!, $27.99, 10/18/2016.
