131. Hot Fuzz [Blu-Ray] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though not a wholly satisfying parody, Hot Fuzz offers enough entertainment to succeed. I’d like a little more consistency and a shorter effort, but I still think there’s enough amusing material here to make it enjoyable. Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost. Universal, $14.98, 9/22/2009.

I’d like a little more consistency and a shorter effort, but I still think there’s enough amusing material here to make it enjoyable. Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost. Universal, $29.98, 11/5/2019.

133. Crossroads (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ...a bland and lifeless little teen “coming of age” story that appears competent at best and inane at worst.

134. South Park: The Complete Tenth Season (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I expect a certain level of inconsistency from South Park, Season 10 seems less inspired than usual. We find a few pretty solid shows but none that really soar, and some duds emerge as well ... I’m sure big fans will want Season 10, but I don’t think it’s one of the series’ better years. Paramount, $49.98, 8/21/2007.

135. A View To A Kill [Blu-Ray] (1985)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A View to a Kill offers weak Bond and can arguably be considered the worst 007 film to date, but even poor Bond still remains moderately fun and entertaining. Starring Roger Moore, Christopher Walken. MGM, $19.98, 10/2/2012.

136. The Odd Couple: The Second Season (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the rare shows that never “jumped the shark”, The Odd Couple continues its hilarious run with its second season. No, not every episode excels, but we find many more hits than misses. Picture and audio are more than acceptable for 35-year-old TV, but we get no extras. Despite the absence of supplements, I like The Odd Couple too much not to recomme

137. Death Proof: Unrated Special Edition (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Quentin Tarantino has always worn his “B”-movie influences on his sleeve, Death Proof digs deep into those roots – with pretty good success. I wouldn’t say it matches up to its better work, but it entertains and creates a fun homage ... This is a reasonably positive release for an unusual and enjoyable flick. Starring Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson.

138. Mission: Impossible - The Original TV Series [Blu-Ray] (1966-1973)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For a generation only familiar with the 20-years-and-counting Tom Cruise movie franchise, this massive Mission: Impossible collection may prove revelatory. While the series lacks the movie’s heavy action orientation, it brings a pretty good array of clever spy stories that entertain more often than not. Starring Peter Graves, Barbara Bain. Paramount,

139. The Adventures Of Ichabod And Mr. Toad: Disney Gold Classics Collection (1949)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad won't ever qualify as one of Disney's all-time great animated films, I thought it provided a generally satisfying and entertaining experience. Of the two segments, I definitely preferred the witty and delightful "Mr. Toad", but "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" also was fun and intriguing ... Unfortunately, the DV

140. Walt Disney Treasures: On The Front Lines (1943)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the most eagerly-awaited collections of Disney animation, Walt Disney On the Front Lines doesn’t disappoint. It contains hours of material that illuminates various efforts during World War II, and it’s a great set of rarely-seen pieces. Disney, $32.99, 5/18/2004.
