101. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Theatrical & Extended Cuts) [4K UHD] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As the opening chapter of a three-part saga, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey introduces us to its tale well. Though some scenes threaten to sag, they remain enjoyable and engaging, so the film keeps us with it across its long running time. Starring Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman. New Line, $89.98, 12/1/2020.

102. Gentleman Jim [Blu-Ray] (1942)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A loose biopic, Gentleman Jim fails to deliver a genuinely memorable tale. Nonetheless, it brings an amiable mix of drama, comedy and romance. Starring Tyrone Power, Alexis Smith. Warner, $21.99, 12/12/2023.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It took me a few viewings, but I finally figured out why so many people love The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. I don’t know if I’ll ever reach their level of fervor, but I’ve come to really enjoy the flick and think it works quite well. Starring Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen. New Line, $89.98, 12/1/2020.

105. Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town (Deluxe Edition) [Blu-Ray] (1970)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I cannot call Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town one of the best Rankin/Bass Christmas specials, as it plays things too safe and cutesy to really excel. Nonetheless, it becomes perfectly enjoyable and pleasant. Starring Fred Astaire, Mickey Rooney. Classic Media, $16.98, 10/16/2018.

106. Pretty In Pink (Paramount Presents Edition) [Blu-Ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In the 1980s, John Hughes milked teen drama for all it was worth, but that doesn’t mean he did so with consistent success. As someone who went to high school in that era, I should enjoy this nonsense if just due to my memories, but Pretty In Pink is so overwrought and cheesy that I found it tough to take. Starring Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer. Paramount,

107. Pretty In Pink: I Love The 80's Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Fans of Pink will want to go with the 2006 Special Edition. It provided slightly superior picture quality along with more significant extras. All that and it actually retails for a couple dollars less than this “I Love the 80s” version. Skip this one and go with the SE. Starring Molly Ringwald, Harry Dean Stanton. Paramount, $14.99, 8/5/2008.

109. Lockout [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Don’t expect Lockout to deliver an original sci-fi action experience, but if you can get past its derivative nature, you’ll probably have fun with it. Though it seems pretty brain-dead, it gives us enough excitement to make it enjoyable. The Blu-ray boasts excellent picture and audio along with a couple of decent featurettes.
