Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 60 years after its debut, Psycho continues to thrill. A legitimate classic, the film remains thoroughly engaging. Starring Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh. Universal, $19.98, 9/8/2020.

132. Secretariat [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a potentially interesting subject, Secretariat falls flat. It takes its topic and strips it of drama and emotion; instead, we end up with a trite, tame tale. The Blu-ray provides excellent picture quality as well as good audio and supplements. While I think this is a nice release, the movie is never better than mediocre. Starring Diane Lane, John

133. The Way, Way Back [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An awkward mix of family drama and teen comedy, The Way Way Back doesn’t come together in a satisfying manner. It boasts a strong cast and occasionally scores, but much of it fails to connect. The Blu-ray comes with excellent picture, decent audio and a few minor bonus features. I want to like Way Way Back but think it lacks the consistency it needs to b

134. Land Of The Lost [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the summer’s biggest box office disappointment, Land of the Lost isn’t as bad as anticipated. However, that doesn’t mean it’s good, either. The movie provides sporadic entertainment but it’s too much of a mess to succeed. The Blu-ray offers good picture and audio along with a terrific roster of supplements. Though not much of a movie, this is a

135. The Mummy [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a lot of action and adventure on display, The Mummy keeps us moderately involved in its material. However, it lacks personality and falls short of its goals. Starring Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis. Universal, $34.98, 9/12/2017.

136. Ratatouille [Blu-Ray] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Through two screenings, I kept hoping I’d embrace Ratatouille, but no breakthrough ever came. I enjoyed the film and found much to like about it, but it lacked that certain kick that would allow me to really love it ... Despite my somewhat lackluster attitude toward Ratatouille, I do like it enough to recommend it. This may not be one of my favorite Pixa

137. Ted [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ted comes with a fun premise but inconsistent execution. It mixes clever gags with cheap jokes to offer a tremendously up and down comedic experience. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture and audio along with a fairly useful batch of bonus materials. Ted will probably delight Seth MacFarlane fans but it seems less likely to win over new converts.

138. The Iron Giant [Blu-Ray] (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 17 years after its release, The Iron Giant remains a delightful and charming film. It stands up to repeated screenings and continues to entertain. Starring Jennifer Aniston, Vin Diesel. Warner, $14.97, 9/6/2016.

139. Purple Rain (Remastered) [Blu-Ray] (1984)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A career-making success, Purple Rain seemed great in 1984 but now comes across as dated and fairly silly. The performance scenes still rock, and a few glimmers of good moments appear due to the banter of Morris Day and Jerome Benton, but otherwise the flick’s something of an amateurish mess. Starring Prince, Morris Day. Warner, $14.98, 10/4/2016.

140. Old School: Unrated & Out Of Control (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A mere four years after its theatrical release, Old School has become an acknowledged cult classic for the 21st century. Whether I’ll ever really love the flick remains to be seen, but after one screening, I can say that it has more than enough funny moments to make it worthwhile. Starring Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell. DreamWorks, $14.99, 6/10/2003.
