11. The Ant Bully (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A serviceable flick, The Ant Bully offers minor entertainment. However, in a world with so many really good animated movies, “minor entertainment” doesn’t pay the bills. The film keeps us occupied for about 90 minutes but just doesn’t go any higher than that. Starring Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage. Warner, $28.98, 11/28/2006.

12. Eastbound & Down: The Complete Third Season [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a somewhat disappointing second year, Eastbound & Down bounces back with a largely satisfying Season Three. Though we still get some lulls, more than enough of the year succeeds to make this a good batch of shows. The Blu-ray delivers very good picture with generally solid audio and a few interesting supplements. Fans will enjoy the ride that Seaso

13. Shadows and Fog (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a muddled story and an awkward combination of elements, the movie was generally watchable and interesting.

14. The Player: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After nearly 25 years, The Player seems to be regarded as a classic satire, but I don’t see much of the appeal. The film feels spotty and without the necessary coherence or bite. Starring Tim Robbins, Greta Scacchi. Criterion, $39.95, 5/24/2016.

15. Blazing Saddles [Blu-Ray] (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too inconsistent to really earn its status as a comedy classic, Blazing Saddles fires well at times. Many of its gags fall flat, but enough succeeds to make it generally amusing and lively. The Blu-ray presents terrific picture and pretty good audio while the extras add a few nice components to the set. Blazing Saddles earns my recommendation, and this B

16. Short Cuts: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A movie with too many characters and not enough story or momentum, Short Cuts delivers a jumble. Some of the moments work fine on their own but the package doesn’t come together well. Starring Tim Robbins, Julianne Moore. Criterion, $39.95, 10/18/2016.

17. Blazing Saddles: 30th Anniversary Special Edition (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too inconsistent to really earn its status as a comedy classic, Blazing Saddles fires well at times. Many of its gags fall flat, but enough succeeds to make it generally amusing and lively. Starring Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little. Warner, $19.97, 6/29/2004.

18. Nashville: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While groundbreaking, Nashville isn’t very well-structured or interesting. I enjoy the movie to a mild degree, but it seems too consumed with the gimmick of juggling 24 characters without enough thought was given to creating a coherent, polished piece of work. The Blu-ray delivers good picture and audio as well as a selection of mostly interesting bonus
