141. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures) [Blu
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 19 years out of cinemas, could the return of Indiana Jones live up to expectations? I think it could have done so, but it didn’t. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull provides an amiable and occasionally exciting affair, but it’s not one that matches up particularly well with its three predecessors. Though it shows periodic signs of

142. Indiana Jones Collection: Bonus Disc (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The extras of Adventures may not fully live up to our high expectations, but they remain strong and informative. Overall, it’s a terrific package that belongs in the collection of all movie fans. You just can’t beat the Indy series for high-powered action and adventure, so Adventures comes with a very high recommendation. Starring Harrison Ford. Paramou

143. The Last House on the Left: Collector's Edition [4K UHD] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While the 2009 Last House on the Left does not shock as much as the 1972 original, it does present a much better made film. This does not make it a great work, though, and the flick leaves me curiously cold. Starring Garret Dillahunt, Monica Potter. Arrow, $49.95, 8/29/2023.

144. Poseidon [Blu-Ray] (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A thin disaster flick too concerned with effects to involve us, Poseidon comes as a real disappointment. Despite its solid production values, the movie never creates any drama or tension, mostly because we simply couldn’t care less what happens to the sketchy characters. Starring Kurt Russell, Josh Lucas, Richard Dreyfuss. Warner, $14.98, 4/6/2008.

145. Face/Off: Special Collector's Edition (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the best action flicks in recent years, Face/Off easily could have turned silly. However, the movie melds excellent action with vivid performances to become something special. Although the old DVD was quite lackluster, this new one finally presents the movie in fine fashion. It offers very strong picture and audio along with a consistently informa

146. The War Of The Roses [Blu-Ray] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a black comedy, The War of the Roses provides an intermittently effective affair. It really only soars during its third act, as the first 80 minutes or so lack consistency. Still, there’s decent entertainment value here. The Blu-ray provides erratic but generally satisfying picture and audio along with a pretty nice selection of bonus materials. Neith

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Visually and emotionally, this was a consistently rich and spirited affair.

148. Hotel For Dogs (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My love of canines carried me through Hotel for Dogs, but that doesn’t make it a good movie. It keeps the pooch-obsessed entertained well enough for its 100 minutes, but I can’t imagine it’ll do much for others ... If you love dogs and have a high tolerance for goopy kiddie fare, give this one a look. Starring Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin. Paramount, $29

150. The House Bunny (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Random and pointless, The House Bunny boasts a marginally clever concept but comes with no other positives. The film does little more than steal from other flicks, and it never ties together these elements in an amusing or satisfying manner ... Because I expected little from it, I can’t call Bunny itself a disappointment, but I can say that it’s forgetta
