1. The Apartment: Limited Edition [Blu-Ray] (1960)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a movie, The Apartment presents a fine piece of work. Director Billy Wilder creates a film that provides both satisfying comedy and drama, and he melds these elements together in a neat and believable package. Starring Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine. Arrow, $49.95, 12/26/2017.

2. The Apartment [Blu-Ray] (1960)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For the most part, the Blu-ray provides a good replication of the film. Picture quality is good to excellent, and though the 5.1 remix seems superfluous, it works fine. I miss the presence of the flick’s original monaural track, however. We don’t get many supplements, but they offer some good insights into the movie. The Blu-ray doesn’t dazzle but it’s a

3. The Apartment: Collector's Edition (1960)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a DVD, this Special Edition of The Apartment satisfies. Picture quality is very good to excellent, and though the 5.1 remix seems superfluous, it works fine. We don’t get many extras, but they offer some good insights into the film. This is a quality DVD release, and definitely one that merits a “double-dip” for fans who already have the old disc. The

4. Some Like It Hot: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1959)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a movie, Some Like It Hot has endured quite well over the years. While I can’t endorse the AFI’s decision that it’s the funniest film ever made, I still thought it was witty and well-made as a whole. Starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon. Criterion, $39.95, 11/20/2018.

6. Glengarry Glen Ross [Blu-Ray] (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I can’t say Glengarry Glen Ross bowled me over, it provided a crisp and crackling piece of work buoyed by a slew of excellent performances. Starring Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon. Lionsgate, $14.99, 10/11/2016.

7. The China Syndrome: Special Edition (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Because I’d not seen The China Syndrome since 1979, I feared it’d offer a dated experience. A little of that tone came through, but overall, the movie presented a surprisingly timeless piece. It enjoyed a low-key attitude that made it more effective, and an excellent cast helped bolster it as well. Starring Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, Michael Douglas. Colum

8. The Odd Couple: The Centennial Collection (1968)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Frankly, I found the movie of The Odd Couple interesting mainly as a curiosity. My affection for the TV show on which it was based remains very strong, which makes it difficult for me to see much of value from the film; I think the TV series outdid it in almost every way. Nonetheless, Couple is a generally witty and interesting feature ... Because it imp

10. Some Like It Hot: Collector's Edition (1959)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I definitely recommend this fun movie, and for those who don’t already own the prior release, the 2006 “Collector’s Edition” is definitely the way to go. I also think it’s worth the upgrade for fans who possess the earlier version. The new supplements aren’t dazzlers, but they’re interesting, and the improved transfer makes this a worthwhile purchase.
