1. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (Special Edition) (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a reissue, this new Frontier is a success. It improves upon the prior DVDís picture and extras; the audio remains the same, but since the old disc already sounded great, that wasnít a problem. I definitely think fans who own the prior release will want to upgrade to this new one; even those who donít care about supplements will benefit from the improv

2. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (Original Motion Picture Collection) [Blu-Ray] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Badly maligned it may be, I still like Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. Iíll gladly acknowledge its many flaws, but I think its foes too quickly dismiss its positives. It remains possibly the most introspective and deepest of the Trek flicks, and that tone makes it interesting ... The Blu-ray provides fairly good picture and excellent audio. The extras r

3. Star Trek: The Original Series - Season One (1966)
"Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Original Series remains my favorite of the Trek programs, and I definitely recommend this Season One package of the show. With a list price of $130, the set doesnít come cheap, though compared with the $300 it would have cost to get the 29 episodes on the old two-show DVDs, it seems like a bargain. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount.

4. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (Special Collector's Edition) (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the best Star Trek flick, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country has lost a little luster over the last 12 or so years. Nonetheless, most of it works nicely, and it remains probably the most exciting and fun of the seriesí movies. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount, $19.99, 1/27/2004.

5. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Star Trek V: The Final Frontier suffers attacks from legions of detractors. While I donít think it represents great Trek, I nonetheless feel it presents a much more intriguing and enjoyable adventure than many would have you believe. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount, $24.99, 4/20/1999.

6. Miss Congeniality: Deluxe Edition Giftset (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Should fans pursue this Deluxe Edition of Miss Congeniality? If they donít already own the prior DVD, then maybe. The DE offers everything in the prior package along with a few new disc-based extras and a CD soundtrack, but it sells for a high list price of almost $40. That might be worth it if you want the CD, but otherwise itís too steep, especially si

7. Star Trek: Generations (Special Edition) (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Ultimately, I continue to find Star Trek: Generations to be a very entertaining, exciting and thought-provoking film. Clearly it's not everyone's cup of tea, and its treatment of its characters seems to be a major bone of contention with many fans. Despite that issue and some consistency problems, it works very well as a film and makes for a movie that I

10. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (Original Motion Picture Collection) [Blu-Ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a film, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home offers intermittent pleasures but suffers from a number of problems. Most of those can be traced to the performance of its lead guest actress, but it also falters due to an overly comedic tone and much out of character behavior. Still, even erratic Trek remains enjoyable. This Blu-ray edition of Voyage provides ve
