If you don’t have the old one, this set is definitely the one to get, especially since both retail for the same price. As for fans who possess the original disc, they should snag the SCE as well. It presents notably improved picture along with some good new extras,

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my continued bafflement over how Braveheart became an "A"-list title, I acknowledge that it's an entertaining and well-executed movie. The film contains flaws and is far from perfect, but it does a lot right and offers a generally stimulating experience. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture, solid audio, and an interesting complement of su

5. The Passion of the Christ (2017 Re-Issue) [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For those who came to The Passion of the Christ as part of its core audience, obviously the film worked for them, but it didn’t do much for me. The flick seemed more elegant than I expected, but it lacked a substantial emotional impact and came across as curiously bland and ineffective. Starring James Caviezel, Monica Bellucci. Fox, $19.98, 2/7/2017.

To my pleasant surprise, the flick offered a lively action flick in an unusual setting that makes it something different ... Apocalypto won’t be for everyone, but I think the film achieves its goals. 9. Edge Of Darkness [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After almost eight years, Mel Gibson returned to the big screen with Edge of Darkness. I’d like to refer to this as a triumphant return, but the slow, dull movie turns into a disappointment. It has some good moments, but these are too infrequent. The Blu-ray offers excellent visuals, good audio and average supplements. Edge presents a decidedly mediocre

10. Mad Max [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though undeniably influential, I didn’t think Mad Max offered a terrific film experience. The flick had its moments, and I could definitely see its impact on later movies, but the flick itself seemed decent but unspectacular as a whole. The Blu-ray provided a very strong picture with acceptable sound and a fair though somewhat drab pile of supplements.
