51. The Good Shepherd (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Shepherd ends up as a long-winded bore. It wears its political heart too much on its sleeve as it alludes to current abuses of intelligence, but even those elements can’t generate any heat. Instead, the film feels like it treads water the whole time. The tale moves but goes nowhere. Starring Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie. Universal, $29.98, 4/3/2007.

52. Seconds: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1966)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I admire its ambition and respect its influence, as a film, I can’t say Seconds does a lot for me. It meanders too much and lacks a good lead performance from its star. The Blu-ray delivers solid picture and audio along with an informative set of supplements. While I’m not wild about the movie, this release presents it well. Starring Rock Hudson, J

53. The Departed [4K UHD] (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it forms an interesting picture, The Departed doesn’t match up with director Martin Scorsese’s best. It entertains and acts as a worthwhile experience, but it doesn’t leave a substantial impression like Scorsese’s more memorable material. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon. Warner, $33.99, 4/23/2024.

55. Patriot Games [Blu-Ray] (1992)
"Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It feels like an oddly distancing piece that doesn’t draw in the viewer terribly well. Professional and moderately entertaining, I

56. The Devil and Daniel Webster: Criterion Collection (1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At its best, The Devil and Daniel Webster provides an entertaining fable. However, it takes way too long to get to its point and suffers from poor acting by the actor who spends the most time on screen. Starring Edward Arnold, Walter Huston. Criterion, $39.95, 9/30/2003.

57. Fun With Dick And Jane (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: This 2005 remake of Fun with Dick and Jane makes me curious to watch the original 1977 version. That’s not because I enjoyed the new one; instead, I’m interested to see if the first edition was as lame as this one. The 2005 Fun has some decent moments, but overall it comes across as unfunny and without much cleverness. Starring Jim Carrey, Téa Leoni. Son

58. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a lackluster fourth film, the Mission: Impossible franchise bounces back with the exciting Rogue Nation. The movie boasts many fun action scenes as well as a lot of intrigue along the way. Starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner. Paramount, $39.99, 12/15/2015.

59. Cats & Dogs [Blu-Ray] (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Cats & Dogs reached a decent audience in the summer of 2001 with its special effects trickery and modestly amusing James Bond spoofery. Parts of the movie entertained me, mostly thanks to a terrific vocal performance by Sean Hayes, but the film as a whole seemed less than scintillating. The Blu-ray provides very good audio and some supplements highlighte
