181. Gladiator (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ... the movie as a whole is a rather bland and unmemorable affair that doesn’t live up to Scott’s better efforts.

182. Spider-Man (2012 Re-Issue) [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a decade, Spider-Man remains one of my favorite superhero movies; indeed, it might only be second to The Dark Knight on my personal list. While I can’t call it flawless, it’s light, fun and a good representation of the comics. The Blu-ray delivers pretty positive picture, excellent audio and an erratic but generally compelling package of supplement

183. Remember The Titans (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As is usually the case with films from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Remember the Titans reinvents no wheels and will win no prizes for originality, but in its execution, it proves to be a spirited and energetic look at integration and race relations in the early Seventies. I was put off by some misrepresentations of my home area, but even so, I enjoyed th

184. Remember The Titans: Director's Cut (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The DVD provides fairly solid picture and sound with a few decent extras. Unfortunately, it drops the best supplements from the original DVD. Because of that, I recommend fans skip this “Director’s Cut” release and stick with the old DVD. It’s the most satisfying way to watch the movie. Starring Denzel Washington, Will Patton. Disney, $19.99, 3/14/2006.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ...it offers reasonably exciting escapist entertainment.

186. Prometheus [Blu-Ray 3D] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 33 years, Ridley Scott returned to the Alien universe with a thud. Prometheus looks great but lacks much beyond its production design to interest us; story, characters and action all seem forgettable. Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender Fox, $19.99, 10/9/2012.

187. Superman Returns: The Motion Picture Anthology (1978-2006) [Blu-Ray] (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Note that as of April 2012, you can only purchase this Blu-ray edition of Superman Returns as part of an eight-disc “The Superman Motion Picture Anthology”. This includes Superman, its three 1980s sequels, 2006’s Superman Returns and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, and a disc of bonus materials. I’m sure the films will be available individually at s

188. Gladiator: Extended Edition (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you want just one Gladiator, I think this is the superior one. It lacks the earlier set’s DTS soundtrack, but it presents better picture and stronger supplements along with the best cut of the flick. Does that make the Extended Gladiator worth a double-dip for those who have the old set? Yes, but only if they really dig the movie. Those fans will defi

189. Spider-Man 3 [4K UHD] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Spider-Man 3 seems destined to go down as the franchise’s least well-regarded effort – at least of the first three – I don’t agree with all the negativity thrown its way. While the film has its flaws, it still provides a strong adventure with a warm emotional center not usually found in comic book material. Starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dun

190. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix [4K UHD] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My favorite of the first five films, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix proves to be very satisfying. It delivers quality drama and action while it also moves along the main narrative well. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson. Warner, $41.99, 3/28/2017.
