51. The Terror: The Complete First Season [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a drama about survival in harsh conditions, Season One of The Terror works fairly well. While I don’t think it quite lives up to its potential, the series usually creates a reasonably involving piece. Starring Jared Harris, Ciarán Hinds. Lionsgate, $29.97, 8/21/2018.

52. The Smurfs 2 (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I thought The Smurfs offered a reasonably entertaining effort, no such praise greets The Smurfs 2. Devoid of even minor charm or fun, the sequel provides a meandering story and tedious gags. The DVD gives us good picture and audio but lacks substantial bonus materials. Maybe huge fans of the first film will find some merit here but the sequel leave

53. Vertigo: Collector's Edition (1958)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Vertigo definitely is effective, but something about it simply leaves me flat. Maybe it's because the film wasn't really what I expected. While it has some of those moments, it's not a really thrilling chiller ala Psycho. That's not bad, but even though I'd seen Vertigo years ago, I wasn't quite prepared for the route it would take. Starring James Stewar

54. Goosebumps 2 [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Because the first film offered a fun adventure, I hoped Goosebumps 2 would become another winner. However, the movie tends to drag and it never creates a tale with much imagination or spark. Starring Madison Iseman, Jeremy Ray Taylor. Sony, $34.99, 1/15/2019.

55. Rampage [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a ton of action and the potential for excitement, Rampage seems oddly flat. It feels like it should dazzle and delight but instead it just ends up as minor entertainment at best. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris. Warner, $35.99, 7/17/2018.

56. Robin Hood [Blu-Ray] (1973)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a Disney die-hard, I will keep Robin Hood in my collection. However, only folks like me will want to own this mediocre and bland film. The story is a mess, while the animation, characters, songs, and pretty much everything else remain passable at best and become bland and flat at worst. Starring Brian Bedford, Phil Harris. Disney, $20.00, 8/6/2013.

57. The Matrix Resurrections [4K UHD] (2021)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 18 years after the franchise apparently ended, The Matrix returned with a fourth chapter appropriately called Resurrections. While the movie maintains viewer interest, it feels unnecessary and fails to expand the series in a particularly inventive manner. Starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss. Warner, $49.98, 3/8/2022.

59. Cleaner (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With Cleaner, Renny Harlin leaves behind his action flick past and attempts a crime thriller. He doesn’t do well in this genre, as he makes a fairly boring mystery despite some interesting twists and a good cast ... I have no complaints about this release, but the movie itself leaves me cold. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris. Sony, $24.96, 5/27/2008

60. The Abyss [4K UHD] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not James Cameron’s strongest film, The Abyss remains a lively, engrossing adventure. It delivers involving situations and characters as well as plenty of action, all of which turn it into a mostly positive experience. Starring Ed Harris, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. 20th Century, $39.98, 3/12/2024.
