111. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker [4K UHD] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, a decades-long saga concludes in a moderately satisfying manner. That feels like faint praise for a film with such high expectations, as Rise becomes an enjoyable but not entirely fulfilling finale. Starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver. Disney, $39.99, 3/31/2020.

112. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Bogged down with strange and unnecessary choices, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom feels like a missed opportunity. It makes too many missteps to turn into a winning adventure. Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard. Universal, $34.98, 9/18/2018.

113. Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, all the great supplements in the world won’t make Lethal Weapon 4 any more entertaining as a movie. It provides a slapdash and limp affair that goes absolutely nowhere and provides a terrible ending to the series. Starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover. Warner, $24.98, 12/15/1998.

114. The Last Emperor: Criterion Collection (1987)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, I can’t call The Last Emperor one of the best Oscar winners. The movie certainly has its merits, and I think it’s more than competent. However, it simply never does much for me, as I think it fails to ever become a particularly involving piece ... Despite some misgivings about the compromised aspect ratio, this is easily the best DVD versi

115. Solo: A Star Wars Story [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The second franchise spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story seems destined to be viewed as a bomb, but the movie actually works pretty well. Director Ron Howard imbues the film with enough adventure and charm to make it an engaging, lively experience. Starring Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover. Disney, $39.99, 9/25/2018.

116. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies [Blu-Ray] (2014)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Does The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies finish the trilogy in a satisfying fashion? Yes and no – while it comes with plenty of excitement, it lacks the emotional depth/impact that it needs. Starring Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman. New Line, $35.95, 3/24/2015.

117. A Clockwork Orange [Blu-Ray] (1971)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 40 years, A Clockwork Orange remains an amazing and powerful film. I continue to feel wholeheartedly that it was easily Stanley Kubrick’s best work. The Blu-ray offers good picture, audio and extras. I’m not sure that this is a substantial upgrade over the Special Edition DVD, but if you don’t own that one, go for this Blu-ray release. Starring Mal

118. War Of The Worlds [4K UHD] (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A science-fiction film by Steven Spielberg has to fill some big shoes. A thoroughly exciting and enjoyable action/horror flick, War of the Worlds lives up to expectations. I wouldn’t classify it on the level of Spielberg’s absolute best work, but it’s definitely one of the strongest movies he’s made in years. Starring Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning. Paramou

120. Forbidden Planet: 50th Anniversary Special Edition (1956)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Forbidden Planet remains an enjoyable experience. It earns points simply as a forefather of so much later science fiction; it takes little effort to see its influence elsewhere. But Planet’s draw doesn’t come solely from its historical merit, as it continues to entertain. Starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis. Warner, $26.98, 11/14/2006.
