Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Professional and moderately entertaining, Patriot Games just doesn’t deliver the goods on a consistent basis. The 4K UHD brings us an obvious visual upgrade over the old Blu-ray. Starring Harrison Ford, Anne Archer. Paramount, $69.98, 8/21/2018

- 43. Misery: Collector's Edition (1990)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t know if Misery is the best adaptation of a Stephen King horror novel, but it resides high on that list. A simple but chilling tale, this one benefits from excellent acting and concise storytelling. Unfortunately, the DVD proves less winning ... I can’t recommend such a lackluster release, even though I like the movie a lot. Starring James Caan, K

- 44. Misery [Blu-Ray] (1990)

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own Misery on DVD, definitely get this Blu-ray release. Even if you don’t currently have a Blu-ray player, it includes the 2007 SE DVD, so you can watch it until you upgrade. Fans with Blu-ray capabilities who do have the 2007 disc should also grab the Blu-ray, as it offers a nice visual improvement. Starring James Caan, Kathy Bates. MGM, $2

- 45. Freaky Friday (2003)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With Pirates of the Caribbean and Freaky Friday in 2003, Disney turned potentially miserable movies into genuinely entertaining experiences. Friday proves likable and winning, as it maintains a charming piece that also adds a surprising number of solid laughs. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan. Disney, $9.99, 12/16/2003.

- 46. Untraceable (2008)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I wanted to like Untraceable, as I enjoy the serial killer genre. It serves as a sub-standard entry in that field, though. It borrows liberally from superior predecessors and insults the audience with its relentless stupidity ... There’s nothing wrong with this release, but the movie itself is a major disappointment. Starring Diane Lane, Billy Burke. Son

- 47. What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? [Blu-Ray Book] (1962)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: History may regard What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? as a camp classic, but I think it deserves a better fate than that. The movie works as a fairly creepy piece of character horror that just happens to boast fun performances from a pair of legendary actresses. The Blu-ray delivers excellent visuals and a nice collection of supplements, but the audio tend

- 48. Into The Wild: Special Collector's Edition (2007)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Due to my feelings about its lead character, I maintain some ambivalence toward aspects of Into the Wild, particularly in the way it moderately advances the idiotic notion that someone who craps in the woods is more alive than the rest of us. Nonetheless, there’s a lot to like here, especially since Sean Penn manages to bring a moral ambiguity to the tal
