51. Blood Brother [Blu-Ray] (2018)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A stale attempt at a thriller, Blood Brother comes with no obvious positives. It suffers from a generic, uninventive quality that makes it a dull 85 minutes. Starring Trey Songz, Jack Kesy. Lionsgate, $21.99, 1/29/2019.

52. Never Grow Old [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When he plays villains, John Cusack offers good work, and his turn in Never Grow Old adds value to the film. Unfortunately, the rest of the movie seems less compelling, so this becomes a lackluster Western despite Cusack’s efforts. Starring Emile Hirsch, John Cusack. Lionsgate, $21.99, 5/14/2019.

53. Friday The 13th, Part 6: Jason Lives (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the series’ weakest efforts, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives feels like an awkward attempt to make it something it’s not. It looks as though they wanted to give it more of a Nightmare on Elm Street vibe and seems too goofy and inane to deliver the requisite scares. Starring Thom Mathews, Jennifer Cooke. Paramount, $79.99, 10/5/2004.

54. The Grudge: Unrated Extended Director's Cut (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I wasn’t wild about the theatrical cut of The Grudge, and nothing about this longer version made me like it more. In fact, the extra footage slows down an already sluggish story. As such, it’s not something I’d recommend to new viewers. However, if you’re a big fan of the flick, this DVD might be worth a look. Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Behr.

55. The Grudge (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Grudge aspires to be more than just the usual schlock, but it doesn’t usually succeed. The movie is quirkier and more stylish than most, but it relies on too many stock scares and never pays off in a satisfying manner. Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Behr. Columbia TriStar, $28.95, 2/1/2005.

58. Jackie Brown [Blu-Ray](1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Jackie Brown marks a departure for Quentin Tarantino as he provides a film that seems more contemplative and slow-paced than his first two flicks. I prefer Pulp Fiction to Jackie, but the latter still offers a compelling and well-executed piece. The Blu-ray provides very good picture and audio along with a strong set of supplements. There’s a lot to like

59. The Thin Red Line: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I won’t call The Thin Red Line a bad film, it’s definitely not one that appealed to me. I’ve now seen it three times, and though I appreciated it more with repetition - once freed from the expectations I had prior to my initial viewing - I still found little in it to sustain my attention or involve me. I thought it was lovely but ultimately empty.

60. Footloose [Blu-Ray] (1984)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A fluffy combination of movie musical and social commentary, Footloose doesn’t hold up well after almost 30 years. The flick suffers from a lack of flair and excitement, as it mostly presents dull characters and predictable situations. The Blu-ray offers erratic but usually appealing visuals, surprisingly involving and clear audio and some nice extras
