31. The Adventure Of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a comedy, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes’ Smarter Brother seems slightly above average. Though the movie never quite takes flight and suffers from a convoluted plot, it offers a strong cast and just enough funny material to maintain the viewer’s interest. Starring Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn. Fox, $14.98, 4/4/2006.

32. Body Double: Special Edition (1984)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If I want to watch faux Hitchcock, I think I’ll stick with High Anxiety. Mel Brooks does Hitch better than De Palma; even though he aims for comedy, Brooks creates a more interesting and suspenseful tale. As emulated here, Brian De Palma can’t do anything more than plagiarize the master. He fails to give us anything lively or memorable with the tired reg

33. The Elephant Man (1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Given the subject matter and David Lynch’s reputation, one might expect The Elephant Man to present a dark, grotesque experience. Instead, Lynch brings surprising subtlety to the project and makes it a moving investigation of humanity. Starring Anthony Hopkins, John Hurt. Paramount, $9.99, 12/11/2001.

34. The Muppet Movie [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: More than four decades after its release, The Muppet Movie generates a great deal of goodwill. It brings a generally charming and entertaining flick, though it suffers from some slow moments along the way. Starring Jim Henson, Frank Oz. Disney, $19.99, 8/13/2013.

37. Argento's Dracula [Blu-Ray 3D] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After decades of vampire movies, Argento’s Dracula struggles to make a name for itself. When it does, this occurs because of the film’s depressing mix of dullness and cheap cheesiness. The Blu-ray boasts excellent visuals, solid audio and an informative documentary. While the Blu-ray satisfies, the movie itself stinks. Written and Directed by Dario Argen

38. Blood On The Highway (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it boasts a pretty good script, Blood on the Highway suffers from a mix of filmmaking flaws that make it less successful than it could have been. The movie entertains but just can’t wholly overcome its budget-related problems. The DVD gives us mediocre visuals, decent audio and a few supplements. Highway has its moments, but it’s too inconsistent

39. The Serpent and the Rainbow [Blu-ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Partly due to ill-advised casting, The Serpent and the Rainbow provides an erratic supernatural horror film. I think it occasionally threatens to turn into something involving, but it sputters too much of the time. Starring Bill Pullman, Cathy Tyson. Shout! Factory, $34.93, 2/23/2016.

40. Son of Frankenstein [Blu-Ray] (1939)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Son of Frankenstein provides a genuinely terrific experience that compares favorably with the more famous classics of the genre. Heck, I think it fares much better than more famous flicks like 1931’s Dracula or 1932’s The Mummy. Starring Boris Karloff, Basil Rathbone. Universal, $39.98, 9/13/2016.
