81. The Contender (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson Title: The Contender (2000) Studio Line: DreamWorks - Sometimes you can assassinate a leader without firing a shot. "The most controversial movie in years," claims Joel Siegel of Good Morning America. Power comes at a...

82. Braveheart [4K UHD] (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my continued bafflement over how Braveheart became an "A"-list title, I acknowledge that it's an entertaining and well-executed movie. The film contains flaws and is far from perfect, but it does a lot right and offers a generally stimulating experience. Starring Mel Gibson, Patrick McGoohan. Paramount, $31.99, 5/15/2018.

83. School Daze [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After the rousing success of his first film, Spike Lee went through his sophomore slump with School Daze. However, despite a number of flaws, the movie has enough going for it to merit a viewing, as it becomes inconsistent but provocative. Starring Laurence Fishburne, Spike Lee. Sony, $14.99, 11/13/2018.

85. Troy (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Excessively long and fairly tedious, Troy turns a remarkable serious of battles into bland melodrama. The interpersonal elements don’t coalesce and the fight scenes fail to take flight. If you have an interest in the subject, Troy might merit a rental, but I saw it as a boring failure. Starring Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom. Warner, $29.95, 1/4/2005.

86. Why We Fight (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not as inflammatory and one-sided as Fahrenheit 9/11, Why We Fight also proves to be much less intriguing and gripping. The movie throws out vague theses and never quite gels into a strong look at its subject. In fact, it never appears all that sure what topic it favors, as it flits around the map. Written and Directed by Eugene Jarecki. Sony Pictu

87. Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament Of George Harrison (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Does Paul McCartney Really Is Dead attempt to seriously investigate the “Paul is Dead” hoax or does it just want to poke fun at that theory? I have to lean toward the latter, but the clumsy, idiotic program doesn’t succeed in that way or any other; it’s relentlessly stupid and absurd. The DVD comes with flawed visuals, decent audio and minor supplements.

89. Spider-Man: Superbit Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you have the older version and feel satisfied with the picture, don’t bother with the Superbit. The audio commentary seems mediocre and not worth the additional expense on its own. However, if you’re one of the many who thought the old disc’s visuals seemed less than positive, you’ll probably be unable to resist this upgrade. Starring Tobey Maguire, K

90. Troy: Director's Cut (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I felt the theatrical version of Troy was excessively long and fairly tedious, and the Director’s Cut doesn’t improve upon that situation. It still turns a remarkable series of battles into bland melodrama. The interpersonal elements don’t coalesce and the fight scenes fail to take flight ...
