161. Back to the Future Part II: The Ultimate Trilogy [Blu-Ray] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my initial misgivings about Back to the Future Part II, I’ve come to rather like it over the last 31 years. It will probably always be my least favorite flick of the trilogy, but it nonetheless provides a fairly lively second part in the series. Starring Michael J. Fox. Christopher Lloyd. Universal, $39.98, 10/20/20.

163. I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A true gem of a film, I Wanna Hold Your Hand gives us a delightful look at Beatlemania through the eyes of the fans. Hilarious, charming, and even a little touching at times, it’s an excellent flick. Written & Directed by Robert Zemeckis. Universal, $19.98, 9/28/2004.

164. Patton (1970)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As it stands, Patton is one of the all-time great films, and Fox's DVD release provides us with a nice edition of it. The picture and the sound are generally positive, and the DVD includes a few very nice supplements. Patton is a highly recommended movie that falls into the category of a "must have" DVD. Starring George C. Scott, Karl Malden. Fox, $14.98

165. 2001: A Space Odyssey [4K UHD] (1968)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I continue to maintain mixed feelings about 2001: A Space Odyssey itself, I cannot argue with its enduring legacy and the high level at which it was executed. Starring Keir Dullea, Gary Lockwood. Warner, $41.99, 12/18/2018.

166. The Color Purple [4K UHD] (2023)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Nearly 40 years after the novel’s first film adaptation, The Color Purple returns as a musical. While it comes with some positives, it still lacks much bite, and the decision to add songs makes it seem awfully perky too much of the time. Starring Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson. Warner, $39.98, 3/12/2024.

169. Rain Man [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I've disliked a fair number of Best Picture winners, but I reserve a special level of distaste for Rain Man. Honestly, it can be an entertaining film but it's so insanely phony and artificially sentimental that it makes me nauseous. The Blu-ray provides pretty good picture and sound as well as a decent roster of extras. The three audio commentaries bring

170. Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy [Blu-Ray] (1985)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Before I got these discs, I hadn’t seen Back to the Future in a while, and I’d almost forgotten just how much fun it offers. A lively and giddy romp, the movie suffers from some dated elements – anybody remember Pepsi Free? – but it packs so much gleeful comedic energy that it doesn’t really matter. Starring Michael J. Fox. Christopher Lloyd. Universa
