171. Rain Man: Special Edition (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I've disliked a fair number of Best Picture winners, but I reserve a special level of distaste for this junk. Honestly, Rain Man can be an entertaining film but it's so insanely phony and artificially sentimental that it makes me nauseous. Starring Tom Cruse, Dustin Hoffman. MGM, $19.98, 2/3/2004.

172. The War Of The Worlds: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1953)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I know that it maintains a prominent status in the history of science-fiction flicks, but nearly 70 years down the road, The War of the Worlds doesn’t offer much entertainment for modern audiences. Starring Gene Barry, Ann Robinson. Criterion, $39.95, 7/7/2020.

173. Flags Of Our Fathers (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Flags easily could have been a simple depiction of the story behind the famous flag raising, but the psychological view of the post-battle events makes it something more. Eastwood balances the elements well and never allows one to dominate. He melds the material into a slightly inconsistent but mostly rich and involving tale. Directed by Clint Eastwood.

174. The Blues Brothers: Collector's Edition (1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Like The Jerk, 1980’s The Blues Brothers is a project thought of as a “comedy classic” with an appeal that simply mystifies me. The movie lacks coherence and it seems excessively indulgent; many scenes appear to exist just for the filmmakers’ own amusement. That means that parts of it are fun, but most of it plods along and goes nowhere. Starring John Be

175. How To Steal A Million: Fox Studio Classics (1966)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: There’s not much depth to How to Steal a Million, and it suffers from some plodding moments. However, the movie enjoys a good cast and likable energy that makes it mainly a fun and amusing romantic comedy. Starring Audrey Hepburn, Peter O'Toole. Fox, $14.98, 12/7/2004.

176. Saving Lincoln [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While the notion of actors in front of Civil War photo backdrops sounds vaguely intriguing, the result flops. Saving Lincoln suffers from bad visual effects, stiff acting and other problems, all of which add up to an unsatisfying product. The Blu-ray offers acceptable but lackluster picture and audio along with a few supplements highlighted by a mostly i

177. Arachnophobia [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arachnophobia gave me the willies 22 years ago and continues to do so today. Although it comes with a bit of a “Spielberg wannabe” feel, it’s still a pretty funny and exciting comedy adventure. The Blu-ray delivers generally satisfying picture and audio but includes only minor supplements. Although I’d like additional bonus materials, this nonetheless be

178. Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Eyes Wide Shut finished out Kubrick's career on a relatively low note. No, it's not his worst film, but it's much closer to the bottom than it is to the top. Still, I suppose the fact it was made by Kubrick makes it something of a "must see" for film buffs. This is a lackluster DVD, though. Audio quality is good, but the picture seems lackluster, and the

179. Indiana Jones Collection: Bonus Disc (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The extras of Adventures may not fully live up to our high expectations, but they remain strong and informative. Overall, it’s a terrific package that belongs in the collection of all movie fans. You just can’t beat the Indy series for high-powered action and adventure, so Adventures comes with a very high recommendation. Starring Harrison Ford. Paramou

180. Gremlins [4K UHD] (1984)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 35 years, Gremlins remains a frantic and fun piece of work. It nicely mixes horror, action and comedy and packages the different elements into one entertaining piece. Starring Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates. Warner, $41.99, 10/1/2019.
