12. The Boondock Saints [Blu-Ray] (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Because of many inconsistencies, The Boondock Saints never manages to quite live up to its potential. Still, the movie fires on enough cylinders to make it generally enjoyable. The Blu-ray delivers pretty good picture and audio along with a fairly nice set of supplements. Fans should like this quality release. Starring Willem Dafoe, Sean Patrick Flanery.

13. To Live and Die in LA: Special Edition (1985)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: To Live and Die In LA generally offers a gritty and well-executed crime drama. It doesn’t pack the punch it did in 1985, but it seems like a fairly interesting piece, especially for new viewers. Starring William Petersen, Willem Dafoe. MGM, $19.98, 12/2/2003.

15. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou: Criterion Collection (2-Disc Special Edition) (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou falls into the category of quiet, unassuming movies. Sure, it goes for an action bent at times, but it doesn’t overshoot its boundaries as it remains mostly soft and quirky. It takes a while to get going, but by its conclusion you realize you’ve seen something very good. Starring Bill Murray, Owen Wilson. Criterion, $32

16. Spider-Man: Deluxe Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As for folks who already own the original two-disc Spider-Man, should they “upgrade” to the Deluxe Edition? No. While I enjoyed the featurettes connected to the film, they only last about half an hour, and that’s not enough content to warrant a new purchase. The DE is the most generally satisfying Spider-Man on the market, but it’s not worth a “double di

18. Adam Resurrected [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If nothing else, Adam Resurrected provides an unusual twist on a Holocaust drama. Unfortunately, the film fails to find anything impactful to do with the material, so it becomes an oddly uncompelling character piece. Starring Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe. MVD, $19.95, 6/22/2021.

20. A Most Wanted Man [Blu-Ray] (2014)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I feel I should appreciate the understated nature of A Most Wanted Man, and I do – to a degree. However, the movie seems too low-key for its own good so it loses the tension and impact it needs. Starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams. Lionsgate, $19.99, 11/4/2014.
