11. Spider-Man 2: Superbit (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I really liked the quality of the Superbit disc but as a fan, I’d not like to lose the terrific supplements from the special edition. Ultimately, I think the two-disc set will remain the most satisfying for the most people. After all, it’s not like it looked or sounded bad. However, for those with an interest in taking in the highest quality presentation

12. Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Intended to launch a new franchise, instead Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time sputtered at the box office. I suspect much of this stemmed from the movie’s inherent mediocrity. While it was never a true dud, it also failed to do much to make itself dynamic or engaging. The Blu-ray offers very good picture and audio along with a nice interactive feature

13. Spider-Man 2 (2012 Re-Issue) [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Unfortunately, the Blu-ray lacks many extras found on the old DVDs, so fans who own those will need to hold onto them. If you already have the 2007 Blu-ray and either own the bonus features from the DVDs or don’t care about those materials, there’s no reason to upgrade; the 2012 Blu-ray demonstrates picture/audio that seem similar to the earlier release.

14. The Sorcerer's Apprentice [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At no point does The Sorcerer’s Apprentice approach greatness, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deliver fun. While it lacks real originality, it has a good time with its subject and provides a fairly entertaining experience. The Blu-ray comes with pretty positive picture, excellent audio, and some decent supplements. This becomes a perfectly nice release

15. The DaVinci Code: Special Edition (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The film version of The Da Vinci Code takes a hugely successful novel and neuters it for the big screen. Director Ron Howard consistently plays it safe here, a tactic that robs the story of any drama or passion. Starring Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou. Sony, $29.98, 11/14/2006.

16. Spider-Man 2 [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Some will argue that Spider-Man 2 outdoes its predecessor. I loved the first movie too much to agree, but I also can’t find too much fault with those thoughts, as the sequel works awfully well. It presents a lively, vivid, funny, dramatic and touching experience that continues the series brilliantly. The Blu-ray’s picture quality is consistently top-notc

18. The Water Man [Blu-Ray] (2021)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A mix of coming of age drama and fantasy, The Water Man never quite clicks. The narrative seems unsure of where it wants to go and the end result fails to blend into a memorable or engaging tale. Starring David Oyelowo, Rosario Dawson. RLJ Entertainment, $28.96, 8/17/2021.

19. Species: Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Even with a worthwhile premise and a good cast, Species never becomes better than mediocre. A few decent action scenes occur but most of the film feels like wasted potential. Starring Ben Kingsley, Natasha Henstridge. Shout!, $34.93, 7/11/2017.

20. Abduction [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps Taylor Lautner should stick with Twilight movies, as Abduction shows he’s not ready to handle a flick on his own. The film has potential but Lautner’s lack of skill does a lot to harm it; we simply never take him very seriously in his role. The Blu-ray provides solid picture and audio as well as some erratic but occasionally informative supplemen
