21. Star Wars: Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi (Limited Edition) (1983)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Other than the precious few who only like Jedi, this LE will appeal solely to completist nerds such as myself who want a DVD rendition of the flick’s 1983 theatrical cut. I much prefer the 1977 Star Wars to its SE edition, while both Empire versions are fine with me. Jedi is more of a toss-up; some parts of the original are better, while aspects of the S

22. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (Limited Edition) (1980)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: That makes this LE an even more difficult sell, as unlike Star Wars, it doesn’t offer a clearly superior rendition of the film. The archivist in me is glad to own this package, and if it included a nice anamorphic transfer of the theatrical Empire, I’d heartily endorse it. As it stands, I’ll watch the SE version in the future; I maintain a marginal prefe

23. Star Trek: Enterprise - Season Two (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Season One had its moments but was too inconsistent to really draw me in to its characters and situations. This improves during Season Two. Sure, it still isn't terribly consistent, but I can say the same of virtually every Trek series. Season Two shows Enterprise on the upswing and serves to give us a good year of Trek. Starring Scott Bakula, Jolene Bla

24. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I adored Star Wars as a kid and I’ve yet to find any reason to change that opinion. This version presents more than a few alterations to the original movie, but it still provides the same excitement and freshness that made it a winner 27 years ago. Written & Directed by George Lucas. Fox, $69.98, 9/21/2004.

25. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: How history will view the Star Wars “prequel trilogy” remains to be seen. However, it seems likely that Revenge of the Sith will go down as the strongest of the three. While it suffers from some of the same flaws that marred its two predecessors, it packs much more of an emotional wallop and ends the series well. Written and Directed by George Lucas. Fox

26. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (Limited Edition) (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Die-hard fans will probably want to grab this release simply because it presents the original theatrical cut of the film. Unfortunately, it does so via a tired old transfer that sounds okay but doesn’t look too hot. Since I’m a nearly life-long fan, I’m glad to have that cut on DVD, but I’m still disappointed that Lucasfilm took the easy way out and didn

27. Star Trek: Enterprise - Season Three (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I wouldn’t call Season Three of Enterprise the best year of any Trek series, but it stands as one of the more ambitious. The overriding story line about the Xindi usually adds depth and drama to the season. At times it falters, but I think it succeeds more often than it drags. This is a solid year that makes me look forward to Season Four. Starring Scott

28. Star Trek: Enterprise - Season One (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Enterprise starts with an intriguing concept, and perhaps it’ll live up to expectations in future years. However, Season One offers only sporadic entertainment. The series has some good episodes, but too much of the time it just doesn’t feel like Star Trek. Starring Scott Bakula, Jolene Blalock. Paramount, $129.99, 5/3/2005.

29. Star Wars Trilogy: Bonus Material (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Star Wars Trilogy presents the movies with uniformly excellent visuals, mostly terrific audio, and a nice complement of supplements. On the surface, the extras may seem somewhat sparse, but with three audio commentaries and almost four hours of video footage, the set comes with a lot of great information, most of which is very high quality. 30. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith [4K UHD] (2005)

While it suffers from some of the same flaws that marred its two predecessors, it packs much more of an emotional wallop and ends the series well. Starring Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman. Di
