81. Reverse Of The Curse Of The Bambino (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Reverse of the Curse of the Bambino does nothing more than offer some token updates in an attempt to squeeze some money from the “Sox Nation” faithful. It doesn’t do anything to make it a compelling reflection on events. This is a piece of product with little reason to exist other and less reason for you to get it. If you hate the Sox and want to delight

82. Dinner Rush (2001)
Reviewed by David Williams: Dinner Rush was a great find that was entirely entertaining, as well as gave the viewer an interesting look behind-the-scenes of a working restaurant.

83. Four Christmases [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: There are far too many good Christmas movies for me to recommend this insulting nonsense. If you like it, though, go with the Blu-ray instead of the DVD. The Blu-ray offers significant presentation improvements, so it’s the way to go. Starring Vince Vaughn, Reese Witherspoon. New Line, $39.98, 11/24/2009.

84. Rope (1948)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Most directors who attempt real time movies without obvious cuts would make their works unbearably stilted and pretentious. Alfred Hitchcock wasn’t “most directors”, though, so his use of unusual techniques in Rope does much to benefit the drama and little to harm it ... This ends up as a fine movie and DVD. Starring James Stewart, John Dall. Warner, $19

85. Elektra (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I think Elektra theoretically could have been a decent movie, and I felt the same about Catwoman. Unfortunately, both movies falter in too many different ways to ever succeed. Elektra lacks the giddy campiness of Catwoman, which may actually be a negative. At least the latter let us laugh at it, while Elektra never presents similar mocking joy. It’s just

86. An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I enjoyed the original An Evening with Kevin Smith and I find a lot to like in its “sequel”, Evening Harder. A somewhat lackluster second half means it doesn’t offer the consistent laughs of the first program, but it still presents a lot of good material. Starring Kevin Smith. Sony, $29.98, 11/28/2006.

87. Scooby-Doo [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I don’t view Scooby-Doo as anything special, I must admit it offers a surprisingly entertaining little flick. The movie sags at times, but it features enough cheeky fun to work, especially due to some solid acting. Starring Linda Cardellini, Matthew Lillard. Warner, $14.99, 1/16/2007.

88. Clerks II [Blu-Ray] (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: An awkward combination of broad gross-out material and sappy sentimentality, Clerks II fails to live up to its predecessor. Though better produced in every way, it’s not 1/10th as clever or involving as the original, especially when it becomes way too melodramatic and like a soap opera. Starring Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson. Weinstein Company, $14.97,

89. Something's Gotta Give (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Something’s Gotta Give ran the danger of turning into a cheesy and sentimental fantasy for middle-aged women. Happily, the flick mostly skirts those potential flaws as it provides a winning and amusing piece. Starring Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton. Columbia, $28.95, 3/30/2004.

90. Elektra [Blu-Ray] (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A disappointing effort, Elektra suffers from too much blandness and not enough clarity. From its lead actor on down, the movie sputters. Starring Jennifer Garner, Goran Visnjic. Fox, $19.98, 5/4/2010.
