Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Many have imitated Die Hard, but none have matched it. 24 years after it wowed theatrical audiences, it remains one of the best action films ever made, and it stands as a seminal experience in moviemaking. 12. Die Hard: The Die Hard Collection - 2007 (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Speaking more than a decade down the road, Die Hard stands as arguably the most influential action movie of the 1980s, and it has lost none of its luster or appeal since it first appeared. Die Hard remains a nearly perfect example of an intelligently executed and tremendously exciting film. It moves along at an appropriate clip and integrates its action

14. Trauma Center [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Another Bruce Willis direct-to-video stinker, Trauma Center never manages to develop any drama or tension. It comes across as a by-the-numbers thriller that offers zero excitement or creativity. Starring Bruce Willis, Nicky Whelan. Lionsgate, $21.99, 2/4/2020.

17. Looper [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While the film left me a bit cold when I first saw it, Looper holds up to additional viewings well. Indeed, more scrutiny allowed me to better appreciate its charms and see it as a rich, involving character western with sci-fi elements to give it some spice. The Blu-ray delivers excellent picture and audio along with a good roster of supplements. Looper

18. Pulp Fiction [Blu-Ray] (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I've seen Pulp Fiction about ten times now, and it has yet to lose any of its luster or appeal; the movie seems destined to stand as one of the best films of the Nineties, and probably of all-time. Starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson. Miramax, $19.98, 10/4/2011.

19. Sin City: Recut, Extended & Unrated (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I recommend this package for pretty much anyone with an interest in Sin City. I advised a rental when I reviewed the movie-only disc since I knew this one would come out before long, so hopefully you skipped a purchase of the original set. If so, definitely snag this excellent edition. Heck, even if you did buy the basic DVD, this one’s worth an upgrade
