41. Casablanca [Blu-Ray] (1942)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Nothing I could say would even remotely dislodge Casablanca from its perch as a classic, and I wouldn’t want to try. I don’t think it totally lives up to its reputation, but I find it to offer a very well-crafted and engaging film. This Blu-ray presents very nice visuals with sound that seems quite good for its era plus a stellar set of supplements. Casa

42. The Adventures of Robin Hood: Special Edition (1938)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 65 years down the road, The Adventures of Robin Hood remains a fine film. Not only do we see its influence on later flicks, but also it still seems exciting and entertaining. The DVD presents very good picture and sound along with an excellent set of supplements. An enjoyable and likable action picture, I definitely recommend Adventures. Starring Errol F

44. Casablanca: Ultimate Collector's Edition (1942)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Casablanca is obviously a film that belongs in the collection of every serious movie fan, but do they need this “Ultimate Collector’s Edition”? No. Only the flick’s biggest devotees will likely get their money’s worth out of it. It retails for almost $40 more than the two-disc Special Edition; while some of the added components are nice, they’re not wort

45. The Odd Couple: The Third Season (1972)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson:I loved the first two years of The Odd Couple, and Season Three continues that positive trend. A few minor duds emerge, but the majority of the shows amuse. Once again I found picture and audio to be perfectly adequate, though the absence of extras disappoints. Nonetheless, there’s a lot of great entertainment here, so S3 of The Odd Couple merits my recom

46. Casablanca: 70th Anniversary Limited Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (1942)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: So what’s a Casablanca fan to do? Probably wait and hope that WB puts out this set’s first disc on its own in the not-too-distant future. While I like the documentaries on Disc Two as well as the book and poster, they’re just not worth the package’s nearly $65 list price. If you don’t care about the cost, the 70th Anniversary release will make you happy,

47. Superman: The Motion Picture Anthology (1978-2006) [Blu-Ray] (1978)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Superman doesn’t qualify among my favorite comic book adaptations, as I prefer the Batman and Spider-Man movies. Nonetheless, it holds up well after more than 30 years and remains a class act. The Blu-ray provides excellent audio and supplements but suffers from inconsistent visuals. The image issues can frustrate at times, but this remains a very nice r
