- 221. The Last Song [Blu-Ray] (2010)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With The Last Song, Miley Cyrus moves toward the grown-up portion of her career. She takes little more than baby steps, though, so anyone who expects her to separate herself from her prefab image will feel disappointed in this trite, ordinary melodrama. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture and audio along with a few reasonably useful supplements.

- 222. The Aristocrats (2005)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Aristocrats provides an interesting look behind the curtain to demonstrate the workings of comedians as it brings a hidden element to the public. The multiple renditions of the titular joke offer some hits and some misses, but it’s always cool to see all the variations. Directed by Paul Provenza. Velocity Home Entertainment, $29.99, 1/24/2006.

- 223. That Thing You Do! (1996)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: There’s a lot to like about That Thing You Do!. The movie itself is a nearly unmitigated joy as it provides a fun and happy experience from start to end. It captures the positive side of being in a band without any cynicism or mean-spiritedness, and it lets us join a bunch of good guys as they make a brief run at the top. It’s a smart, happy piece that I

- 225. Halloween: Unrated Collector's Edition (2007)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t like the flick so I can’t recommend it to new viewers, but those who know they like Halloween will want to get this release. If you already own the old disc, however, this CE is worthwhile solely to get the new documentary. Everything else remains the same, so only upgrade if you really want to see the new program. - 227. Horton Hears A Who!: Special Edition (2008)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a few crummy Dr. Seuss adaptations, I had low expectations for 2008’s Horton Hears a Who!. Happily, the flick proved to be pretty entertaining. It remained reasonably true to its source and provided a nice piece of entertainment ... Both the DVD and the movie satisfy; this stands as a good piece of family fun. Starring Jim Carrey, Steve Carell. Fox

- 230. Paul McCartney: The Space Within US (2005)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Someday before I die, I hope to get a Paul McCartney concert DVD that accurately represents the live experience. The Space Within US isn’t that DVD. It has a lot of good music and some solid moments, but it spends too much time with extraneous elements and takes us from the stage too frequently. Starring Paul McCartney. A&E, $24.95, 11/14/2006.
