121. The Producers [Blu-Ray] (1968)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mel Brooks’ first – and probably best – film, The Producers provides a consistently winning experience. The movie offers a delightfully politically incorrect piece that usually delivers a lot of laughs. The Blu-ray provides acceptable but unexceptional picture and audio along with a smattering of interesting bonus materials. This is a reasonably good rep

123. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Limited Edition) (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t know how much fans who watched the extras with the four-DVD will gain from this program. We see some fun elements but I can’t say we really learn anything new about the production. As a fan, I think there’s a lot of enjoyable material on display; it simply doesn’t teach us much that we don’t already know ... I like the “Limited Edition” on its ow

125. Burke & Hare (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Burke & Hare takes a famous historical tale and turns it into a pretty mushy comedy. The combination of a good cast and an interesting story allow it to remain reasonably watchable, but it’s too scattered and limp to be better than mediocre. The DVD offers acceptable to good picture and audio along with a few decent supplements. Maybe someday John Landis

126. The Guns Of Navarone [Blu-Ray] (1961)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although some aspects of it appear a bit dated, The Guns of Navarone holds up well for a 50-year-old action film. The Blu-ray delivers erratic but acceptable picture along with very good audio and supplements. This ends up as the strongest home video release of the film to date. Starring Gregory Peck, David Niven, Anthony Quinn. Sony, $19.99, 10/18/2011.

127. Moonraker (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Moore seems game as ever as Bond, but everything appears so stale and bland. Even the trademarked action sequences look uninspired and fail to rouse much excitement. I like the Bond pictures well enough I feel even a bad Bond still offers some fun, but Moonraker tests my loyalty. It’s probably the worst Bond flick ever made. Starring Roger Moore, Lois Ch

128. Exodus: Gods and Kings [Blu-Ray 3D] (2014)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Oddly dispassionate and flat, Exodus: Gods and Kings occasionally spurs to life. Too much of it lacks real drama or passion, factors that make it a slow ride. Starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton. Fox, $49.99, 3/17/2015.

129. 1941 [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After two straight smash hits, Steven Spielberg struck an iceberg with 1941. While I’d like to claim it provides a misunderstood gem, instead I think it gives us a tedious, pointless mess. Starring John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd. Universal, $19.98, 5/5/2015.

130. Corpse Bride (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe I’ll eventually warm up to Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, but I must admit it leaves me cold after one screening. The movie boasts fine production values and spots of cleverness, but it lacks enough spirit and warmth to make it truly engaging. Starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter. Warner, $28.98, 1/31/2006.
