Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the best Star Trek, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country has lost a little luster over the last 30 or so years. Nonetheless, most of it works nicely, and it remains one of the most exciting and fun of the movies. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount, $17.99, 9/6/2022.

182. The Matrix Experience: The Ultimate Matrix Collection (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Ultimate Matrix Collection truly offers an impressive set. My praise comes with some complaints; the six audio commentaries across the three movies really aren’t very good, and some of the other elements don’t live up to expectations. Nonetheless, the amount of information impresses, and outside of the commentaries, most of it entertains and illumina

183. Snow White And The Huntsman [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not a genuinely bad film, Snow White and the Huntsman provides a rather dull take on the classic fable. The movie generates decent action by its end, but at that point, it’s too late. The Blu-ray offers very good picture and excellent audio as well as a fairly nice set of supplements. We get a strong Blu-ray release for a mediocre movie. Starring K

184. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (Special Collector's Edition) (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Arguably the best Star Trek flick, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country has lost a little luster over the last 12 or so years. Nonetheless, most of it works nicely, and it remains probably the most exciting and fun of the series’ movies. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy. Paramount, $19.99, 1/27/2004.

185. Lilo & Stitch (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not the best of Disney’s animated films, Lilo & Stitch nonetheless provides an entertaining and unusual piece of work. It doesn’t totally reinvent the Disney wheel, but it stands as something different for them, and it generally achieves its goals as it offers a compelling experience ... Despite the lackluster visuals and supplements, I still recom

186. The Golden Compass: Platinum Series (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I enjoy good fantasy films, but unfortunately, The Golden Compass lacks much to make it a quality piece of entertainment. It tells a muddled tale with underdeveloped characters and little involving action ... If you like Compass, this release is well worth your time, but I find it hard to recommend the mediocre film otherwise. Starring Nicole Kidman, Dan

187. Batman Beyond: The Complete Series [Blu-Ray] (1999-2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A futuristic expansion of the franchise, Batman Beyond offers a fun alternate version of the character and situations. This 'Complete Series' package boasts a lot of fun and entertainment. Starring Will Friedle, Kevin Conroy. Warner, $99.99, 10/29/2019.

188. Man Of Steel [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When I saw A Good Day to Die Hard, I opined that it’d probably end up as my biggest cinematic disappointment of 2013. Perhaps I spoke too soon, as Man of Steel may earn that “honor”. Flawed in almost every possible way, the film craps all over the Superman legacy. The Blu-ray boasts terrific picture and audio along with a fairly solid roster of supplemen

189. Lilo & Stitch: Big Wave Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Your interest in bonus features will dictate your decision to get the “Big Wave Edition” of Lilo & Stitch. If you don’t care about extras, you’ll be fine with the single-disc 2002 release; both releases feature essentially identical picture and audio. The “Big Wave” set throws in some excellent supplements, though, so it’s definitely the way to go for fa

190. King Kong: Deluxe Extended Edition (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you refuse to own two versions of the flick ... I’d recommend the “Extended Edition” as the best of the bunch. It includes a good cut of the flick and presents the best extras. This set doesn’t quite match up with the Lord of the Rings packages, but that shouldn’t lead to disappointment. The Kong EE is a stellar DVD that deserves high praise. Starring
