211. Suspicion: TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection (Hitchcock Thrillers) (1941)
Reviewed by Brian Ludovico: Suspicionjust isn’t very good. It’s a slow-moving film that really lacks any charisma in spite of Cary Grant, offers an annoying female lead, and suffers from an embarrassing ending. The DVD provides average picture and audio along with minor supplements. This film actually belongs in the “B” or “C” tier of Hitchcock films, so only the most avid Hitch fa

212. Labyrinth [Blu-Ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Labyrinth will never be one of my favorite films, and if it didn’t star my all-time favorite performer, I’d probably never have bothered with it. Still, it has enough going for it that kids should enjoy it. The Blu-ray presents very good picture along with pretty positive audio and a strong set of supplements. The Blu-ray doesn’t blow away the prior DVD

213. It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Deluxe Edition (1966)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t have the original 2000 DVD, I’d recommend you give this one a look. I’m not as sure that owners of the old release need to “double-dip” for this one. I think both offer pretty similar picture and audio, and the 2008 version’s new extras aren’t especially remarkable. I like this set but it doesn’t blow away its predecessor. Created by Charles

214. Season Of The Witch [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a supernatural tale, Season of the Witch falls flat. While its story creates potential intrigue, it develops in a dull manner that offers little excitement or drama. The Blu-ray comes with decent but unexceptional picture and audio as well as some minor supplements. The film’s not a total loss, but it’s pretty forgettable. Starring Nicolas Cage, Ron P

217. Paranormal Activity 4 [Blu-Ray] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Back in 2009, Paranormal Activity bored me, and in 2013, Paranormal Activity 4 left me with the same reaction. The newer flick probably threw out a few more scares, but it wasn’t any more involving in terms of plot or characters so it remained slow and tedious. The Blu-ray delivers more than adequate picture and audio but lacks many bonus materials. I gu

218. Labyrinth: Anniversary Edition (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As with any movie that’s gone through multiple DVD re-releases, the question becomes which one is the best. I think that this “Anniversary Edition” stands as the most appealing of the four, but don’t expect it to blow away the old versions. Starring David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly. Columbia TriStar, $24.96, 8/14/2007.

219. Avengers: Age of Ultron [Blu-Ray 3D] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though not a bad superhero flick, Avengers: Age of Ultron lacks the heart and spirit to make it a real winner. While it comes with decent action and excitement, it doesn’t quite coalesce into anything better than average. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans. Disney, $39.99, 10/2/2015.

220. Thor: Ragnarok [4K UHD] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Packed with action, Thor: Ragnarok throws enough at the wall that some of it sticks. However, its relentlessly jokey tone feels out of place for the characters and subject matter, so the film sputters too much of the time. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett. Disney, $39.99, 3/6/2018.
