81. Sherlock Holmes [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Sherlock Holmes provides an effective updating of an old, legendary character. While this may rub some fans the wrong way, I like the film and think it gives us an exciting, entertaining experience. The Blu-ray offers generally strong picture, excellent audio and a good collection of supplements. The 2009 Holmes creates a fun reimagining of the franchise

82. Sergeant York: Special Edition (1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The film takes an interesting story and character but fails to move them to the screen with much heart or flair. Marred by an awkward performance from Gary Cooper, the flick never manages to turn into anything particularly memorable. Starring Gary Cooper, Walter Brennan. Warner, $26.99, 11/7/2006.

83. Solaris (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A generally interesting director, Solaris represents a disappointingly dull offering from Steven Soderbergh.

84. Antwone Fisher (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Antwone Fisher seems like an unspectacular debut for Denzel Washington as a director.

85. Big Trouble In Little China [Blu-Ray] (1986)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you want good fantasy-related action/adventure, stick with Indiana Jones. Big Trouble in Little China aspires to fill the same territory but it never becomes anything memorable. Oddly anonymous, its 100 minutes pass without pain but also without any real excitement or drama. The Blu-ray offers pretty good picture and audio as well as a nice collection

86. The Last Samurai: Special Edition (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Last Samurai presents attractive visuals and occasional scenes of excitement, but that’s about it. It seems to lack much substance and seems too erratic to succeed. Starring Tom Cruise, Ken Watanabe. Warner, $29.95, 4/27/2004.

87. Escape From New York: Special Edition (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t like Escape enough to recommend it sight unseen, but fans of John Carpenter’s other flicks will want to give it a look. As for those who already own the old DVD, this one merits an upgrade, so it’d make sense to replace the prior release. This special edition is definitely the one for those who possess no Escape to get. Written and Directed by Jo

88. The Aviator [Blu-Ray] (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I find it hard to point out any true flaws in The Aviator, but outside of some performances, I can’t discover too many standout elements. After more than 30 years as a filmmaker, perhaps it’s surprising that Scorsese can still deliver at that high a level; he probably should have burned out by now. But I admit I expect more, so I see Aviator as a good m

90. Amazing Stories: The Complete First Season (1985)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Back in the Eighties, Amazing Stories never quite seemed to live up to its potential. Viewed 20 years later, the shows vary in quality. Some shine brightly, others meander and lack an impact. Overall, the series has enough hits to be generally entertaining. Created by Steven Spielberg. Universal, $49.98, 7/18/2006.
