1. Massacre at Central High [Blu-Ray] (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though not a great – or even very good – movie, Massacre at Central High nonetheless manages to surpass expectations. Given its status as a low-budget 1970s thriller, it produces a reasonably interesting experience. Starring Derrel Maury, Andrew Stevens. Synapse, $34.95, 9/13/2022.

2. Bound For Glory (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With an Oscar nomination that places it among legendary company, it becomes hard not to expect greatness from Bound for Glory. Outside of an excellent lead performance by David Carradine, however, it doesn’t deliver. While it gives us a fairly good biopic, it seems too long, too slow, and too melodramatic. The DVD suffers from mediocre audio, fairly poor

3. Kill Bill: Volume Two (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a wild tale of violence in the first film, we don’t get much of the same in Kill Bill Volume 2. That will disappoint some, but it ends up making the story richer and with greater depth. Though Bill 2 lacks the “in your face” energy of the initial entry, it compensates with emotion and humanity. Starring Uma Thurman, David Carradine. Miramax, $29.99

5. Satan's Cheerleaders [Blu-Ray] (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe fans of 1970s drive-in cheese will enjoy Satan’s Cheerleaders, but I can’t even embrace it as camp. The movie’s too slow, dull and incompetent to become anything other than a bore. Starring Yvonne DeCarlo, John Ireland. VCI, $29.96, 11/7/2017.

6. Body Bags [Blu-Ray] (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a horror anthology, Body Bags lacks consistently. It’s best section offers good entertainment but the other two are less compelling – and one of them’s really pretty awful. The Blu-ray provides average picture and bonus materials along with surprisingly poor audio. Diehard John Carpenter fans will want to give this one a look, but I can’t recommend it

7. Nashville: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1975)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While groundbreaking, Nashville isn’t very well-structured or interesting. I enjoy the movie to a mild degree, but it seems too consumed with the gimmick of juggling 24 characters without enough thought was given to creating a coherent, polished piece of work. The Blu-ray delivers good picture and audio as well as a selection of mostly interesting bonus

8. "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* *But Were Afraid to Ask" (1972)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It offers a few decent laughs but usually seems flat and uninspired.

9. Alias: The Complete Second Season (2002)
Reviewed by David Williams: Buena Vista turns out two absolutely incredible Alias boxed sets within three months of each other and have made a believer out of me. I absolutely cannot wait for season three to hit my doorstep and if you’re having trouble reading between the lines, Alias: The Complete Second Season comes with my highest recommendation. Starring Jennifer Garner. Buena
