21. She's Having a Baby [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The story and characters of She’s Having a Baby seem like broad generalizations at best and lack insight into the human situations it purports to depict. The movie also fails as a comedy and really provides little entertainment. Starring Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth McGovern. Paramount, $26.98, 2/23/2021.

22. Where the Crawdads Sing [Blu-Ray] (2022)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it uses the backdrop of a thriller, Where the Crawdads Sing mostly delivers sappy melodrama. Despite some potentially intriguing twists, the movie feels trite and devoid of any drama or creativity. Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith. Sony, $38.99, 9/13/2022.

23. Tenet [4K UHD] (2020)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Given the director’s track record, every Christopher Nolan movie comes with massive expectations, and Tenet doesn’t match up with the hype. Still, despite an unnecessarily murky narrative, the film packs enough thrills to become an enjoyable journey. Starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson. Warner, $44.95, 12/15/2020.

25. The Descendants [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Descendants was my preferred pick of the nine Oscar Best Picture nominees, and a second screening didn’t change my mind. Rich, involving and heartbreaking, it creates a low-key but convincing drama. The Blu-ray delivers very good picture, more than acceptable audio and an erratic collection of supplements. I wish the Blu-ray came with a stronger rost

26. Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A memorable occasion for all involved, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert offered a good remembrance for a popular singer.

27. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 2010’s Eclipse keeps the Twilight train a-rolling, as the franchise continues to earn megabucks at the box office. I’m sure this flick will delight established fans of the series, but I don’t think it’ll do much for less dedicated partisans. The Blu-ray provides very good picture and audio along with a mostly strong collection of supplements; only a mean

28. Big [Blu-Ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t possess Big in your collection, you should, and this Blu-ray Disc is the one to have. However, if you already own the 2007 SE DVD, you’re probably fine with that. Both offer virtually identical audio and extras, and the picture upgrades found on the Blu-ray don’t offer huge improvements. This is a decent release but not a killer Blu-ray. Sta

29. Big: Extended Edition (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t possess Big in your DVD collection, you should, and this two-disc set is the one to have. It improves both picture and supplements when compared to the old movie-only release. It’s also a nice upgrade for fans who already own the original, especially if they like extras. I don’t think the new anamorphic transfer blows away the prior image, b

30. Around The World In 80 Days: Special Edition (1956)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While one of the least impressive winners of the Best Picture Oscar, at least Around the World in 80 Days manages to provide a generally fun piece of work. Indeed, that’s all it has going for it, as the movie never takes itself seriously and gives us nothing more than a visually-appealing comedic romp. Starring David Niven, John Gielgud. Warner, $26.99,
