41. The Seventh Sign [Blu-ray] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Given its apocalyptic subject matter, The Seventh Sign boasts the potential to deliver a thriller experience. Unfortunately, it never capitalizes on its inherent strengths, so it turns into a sluggish, dull tale. Starring Demi Moore, Michael Biehn. Shout, $29.99, 9/11/2018.

42. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation [Blu-Ray] (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t think Christmas Vacation offers the worst holiday movie I’ve seen, but it seems pretty blah nonetheless. It just rehashes the same old formula and doesn’t do anything particularly amusing or noteworthy. The Blu-ray offers good picture and audio with some minor extras. This is a competent release for a weak flick. Starring Chevy Chase, Randy Quaid

43. Vegas Vacation (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: No one will confuse Vegas Vacation for a great comedy, but I must admit I found it to offer a surprisingly – though sporadically – amusing affair. It mixes some weak moments with enough reasonably funny ones to create a generally watchable effort. Starring Chevy Chase, Randy Quaid. Warner, $14.98, 10/7/2003.

44. To Rome With Love (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After the late-career success of Midnight in Paris, Woody Allen falls back to earth with the mediocre To Rome With Love. While the flick has some potential, it’s too thin and underdone to succeed. The DVD provides pretty good picture and audio but lacks substantial supplements. Leave this forgettable flick to Allen diehards. Starring Woody Allen, Alec Ba

45. X-Men: Days of Future Past [Blu-Ray] (2014)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In relation to the rest of the series, X-Men: Days of Future Past offers a middle of the pack experience. It keeps us moderately involved but it never turns into anything especially exciting. Starring Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy. Fox, $19.99, 10/14/2014.

47. The Evil Dead [4K UHD] (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For all its legendary status, I must admit I’m not all that wild about The Evil Dead. I think it’s entertaining and respect its status as a groundbreaker, but it just doesn’t do a lot for me based on its own merits. Starring Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss. Lionsgate, $21.99, 10/9/2018.

48. Old School: Unrated & Out Of Control (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A mere four years after its theatrical release, Old School has become an acknowledged cult classic for the 21st century. Whether I’ll ever really love the flick remains to be seen, but after one screening, I can say that it has more than enough funny moments to make it worthwhile. Starring Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell. DreamWorks, $14.99, 6/10/2003.

49. The Exorcist: 40th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1973)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Is The Exorcist the greatest horror film of all-time? Probably. 40 years after its initial release, the movie has lost none of its ability to scare, as it remains nearly timeless. The Blu-ray provides very good picture, mediocre audio, and a stellar set of supplements. This 2013 “40th Anniversary Edition” is a nice set, but it’s not significantly superio
