21. The Bye Bye Man [Blu-Ray] (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Little more than a collection of references to other films, The Bye Bye Man never makes an identity for itself. The movie drags and fails to engage or scare. Starring Douglas Smith, Cressida Bonas. Universal, $34.98, 4/11/2017.

22. Valley Of The Dolls: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1967)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While lovers of camp embrace Valley of the Dolls, it offers nothing else. If you don’t adore so-bad-it’s-good flicks, you’ll get absolutely no enjoyment from this moronic affair. Starring Patty Duke, Sharon Tate. Criterion, $39.95, 9/27/2016.

23. The Towering Inferno (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In no way can I call The Towering Inferno a great piece of work. However, it remains a lot of fun and stands as probably the best of the disaster genre. Nostalgia or no, this is an entertaining flick. Starring Steve McQueen, Paul Newman. Fox, $9.98, 3/9/1999.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While lovers of camp embrace Valley of the Dolls, it offers nothing else. If you don’t adore so-bad-it’s-good flicks, you’ll get absolutely no enjoyment from this moronic affair. The DVD presents good picture with adequate audio and a strong roster of extras. Despite my disdain for the movie itself, the Dolls DVD is a quality piece of work. Starring Patt

25. The Towering Inferno [Blu-Ray] (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Blu-ray offers very good audio along and a fairly nice set of extras but picture quality seems erratic ... That means the Blu-ray doesn’t provide a great upgrade over the 2007 SE DVD. Sure, it looks a little better, but it doesn’t blow away its predecessor. If you don’t own any Inferno release, go with the Blu-ray, but I don’t think it’s worth the mo

26. Alias: The Complete Second Season (2002)
Reviewed by David Williams: Buena Vista turns out two absolutely incredible Alias boxed sets within three months of each other and have made a believer out of me. I absolutely cannot wait for season three to hit my doorstep and if you’re having trouble reading between the lines, Alias: The Complete Second Season comes with my highest recommendation. Starring Jennifer Garner. Buena

27. The Towering Inferno: Special Edition (1974)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Maybe it’s just the seven-year-old in me who likes this flick, but I still want to recommend it anyway. It offers a good movie and a fine DVD. That recommendation goes for anyone who already owns the original disc. This one provides comparable audio but boasts superior visuals and a greatly expanded roster of supplements. Starring Steve McQueen, Paul New
