91. Milk (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Well-intentioned but one-dimensional and stale, Milk does a disservice to its subject matter. Rather than give us a three-dimensional view of pioneering politician Harvey Milk, we find a portrait without nuance or depth. Only Sean Penn’s stellar lead performance makes the film watchable ... If you want to know more about Harvey Milk, skip this flawed mov

92. Cats & Dogs [Blu-Ray] (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Cats & Dogs reached a decent audience in the summer of 2001 with its special effects trickery and modestly amusing James Bond spoofery. Parts of the movie entertained me, mostly thanks to a terrific vocal performance by Sean Hayes, but the film as a whole seemed less than scintillating. The Blu-ray provides very good audio and some supplements highlighte

93. Halloween: Unrated Director's Cut [Blu-Ray] (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Because I’ve enjoyed other remakes of horror classics, I thought the 2007 Halloween could’ve been good. However, the movie totally discards everything that made the original so enjoyable and just becomes a tedious mess. Starring Malcolm McDowell, Scout Taylor-Compton. Weinstein Company, $24.95, 10/21/2008.

94. What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?: Special Edition (1962)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: History may regard What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? as a camp classic, but I think it deserves a better fate than that. The movie works as a fairly creepy piece of character horror that just happens to boast fun performances from a pair of legendary actresses. Starring Bette Davis, Joan Crawford. Warner, $26.98, 5/30/2006.

95. Red Dragon (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: At times, Red Dragon threatens to be a worthwhile take on the universe best known from The Silence of the Lambs. The movie never approaches that classic’s greatness, but it does enough well to make it entertaining. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton. Universal, $9.98, 4/1/2003.

96. Sunset Boulevard (1950)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A movie that merits the designation “classic”, Sunset Boulevard provides an unusual and memorable experience. Director Billy Wilder bites the hand that feeds him in this lively and cynically compelling look at Hollywood ... Sunset Boulevard comes to DVD in great shape, and I highly recommend this terrific movie and solid disc. Starring William Holden, Gl

97. Halloween: Unrated Collector's Edition (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t like the flick so I can’t recommend it to new viewers, but those who know they like Halloween will want to get this release. If you already own the old disc, however, this CE is worthwhile solely to get the new documentary. Everything else remains the same, so only upgrade if you really want to see the new program. Written & Directed by Rob Zombi

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Since I’ve enjoyed other remakes of horror classics, I thought the 2007 Halloween could’ve been good. However, the movie totally discards everything that made the original so enjoyable and just becomes a tedious mess ... This ends up as a strong release for a weak movie. Written & Directed by Rob Zombie. Weinstein Company, $29.95, 12/18/2007.

99. Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I didn’t expect much from Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, and yet the movie still disappointed. While the original wasn’t good, it provides substantially more entertainment than this meandering, moronic follow-up. The Blu-ray comes with generally good picture, mediocre audio, and a roster of fluffy but occasionally interesting supplements. I sus

100. Sunset Boulevard: Centennial Collection (1950)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For viewers who don’t already own the 2002 release of Sunset Boulevard, this 2008 “Centennial Collection” version is the one to get. However, I’m not sure it merits a double-dip for fans who bought the prior disc. Sure, it presents a nice array of new extras, but the movie looks and sounds pretty much the same on both discs; you’ll not find any real impr
