41. The Queen (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My favorite of the 2006 Oscar nominees, The Queen gives us a revealing and insightful look at recent history. We get a good feel for the inside perspective of these events and find a consistently interesting and intriguing take on the participants ... While I can’t call this an exceptional DVD, I like the movie very much and give it my recommendation. St

43. The Longest Yard: Collector's Edition (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Adam Sandler’s made worse movies, and at least the 2005 Longest Yard improves on the original. That said, it drags on for too long and provides precious little humor or anything else that seems memorable. It has a few decent bits but fails to connect in a meaningful or entertaining way. Starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock. Paramount, $29.95, 9/20/2005.

44. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Complete Fourth Season (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Happily, Season Four of Deep Space Nine shows its continuing improvement. The series took awhile to find its feet, but every year seems better than the prior one, and Season Four presents their best material to date. Paramount, $129.99, 8/5/2003.

45. The Maltese Falcon: Special Edition (1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Without question, Falcon is a must-own classic, and I heartily endorse this new special edition. That goes for new buyers and those who already own the prior release. The 2006 release adds plenty of terrific extras and offers greatly improved picture quality. This is a stellar set that I recommend without hesitation. Starring Humphrey Bogart. Warner, $29

46. The Green Mile [4K UHD] (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Green Mile offers an entertaining little fable. It takes too long to get to its conclusion and follows too many dead ends along the way, but I still feel that it works well as a whole, largely due to the presence of a fine cast. Starring Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan. Warner, $33.99, 2/22/2022.

47. Surrogates (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though Surrogates comes with an intriguing sci-fi concept, it almost totally fails to explore its subject matter. Instead, it provides a sloppy story marred with massive leaps of logic and plot holes. The DVD boasts very good picture and audio along with a smattering of extras highlighted by an excellent commentary. This turns into an erratic release for

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Bogged down with strange and unnecessary choices, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom feels like a missed opportunity. In terms of visuals, the 4K UHD offers a notable upgrade over the Blu-ray. Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard. Universal, $19.98, 9/18/2018.
