61. Footloose [Blu-Ray] (1984)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A fluffy combination of movie musical and social commentary, Footloose doesn’t hold up well after almost 30 years. The flick suffers from a lack of flair and excitement, as it mostly presents dull characters and predictable situations. The Blu-ray offers erratic but usually appealing visuals, surprisingly involving and clear audio and some nice extras hi

62. The Green Mile: Special Edition (1999)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mile definitely deserves your attention, and if you don’t own the prior DVD, go for this special edition. It also offers a good upgrade for those who do possess the original disc. In addition to all the new extras, the 2006 transfer seemed considerably sharper and clearer. This release is a solid piece of work. Starring Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan.

64. Monster's University [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 12 years after the original Monsters Inc., we get Monsters University, a prequel that lets us know more about the characters. Though it comes with decent entertainment value, it never threatens to become memorable; it keeps us mildly engaged and that’s about it. The Blu-ray boasts excellent visuals along with very good audio and an informative set of sup

65. A Star Is Born [Blu-Ray] (1954)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: [T]he Blu-ray (is) something of a mixed bag, though it’s definitely a release that I endorse for fans. The picture quality comes with problems, but I suspect those are inevitable, and I also believe the film has never looked better. I remain disappointed by the lack of perspective found in the supplements, but this Blu-ray offers a good representation of

66. Nixon: Election Year Edition (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you don’t own the prior DVD release of Nixon, this 2008 “Election Year Edition” is the way to go, primarily because it boasts superior picture quality. For fans who already possess the earlier version, I still this the “EEE” merits a look. The flick really does look quite a bit better, and a new documentary adds some value. Starring Anthony Hopkins, J

67. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Season 1 (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles attempts to fill some big shoes, and it succeeds only sporadically. The series entertains enough to keep us with it, and it does improve toward the end, but I must admit it doesn’t thrill me. Still, I look forward to Season Two and hope to see it continue to get better ... Although I’m not totally sold on the serie

68. Independence Day: Resurgence [Blu-Ray 3D] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 20 years, the Independence Day franchise returns with the proverbial whimper. Though a few scenes offer decent excitement, too much of Resurgence seems muddled and free from thrills. Starring Ray Romano, John Leguizamo. Fox, $49.99, 10/18/2016.

70. Skyfall [4K UHD] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Even when we adjust for inflation, Skyfall ends up among the three most successful Bond movies of all-time. I don’t view it as one of the three – or even five – best Bond flicks, but it overcomes a few prominent missteps to become a satisfying 007 adventure. Starring Daniel Craig, Judi Dench. MGM, $69.98, 10/22/2019.
