142. The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Rutles 2: Can’t Buy Me Lunch come across more like a vanity project meant to be seen by a few friends than something intended for the mass public. Lunch is little more than one long inside joke without much real cleverness. As demonstrated by the lackluster Spinal Tap reunions, it’s dangerous to try this kind of thing again. What worked once runs th

143. Wolf [Blu-Ray] (1994)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As either a horror film or as a social satire, Wolf flops. The action never becomes exciting or scary, and the commentary lacks even the slightest bite. The Blu-ray provides erratic and generally mediocre picture and audio; it also lacks any substantial supplements. Both as a movie and a Blu-ray, this one disappoints. Starring Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pf

144. Epic [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With Epic, we get a competent animated adventure. The movie does enough to keep us with it, but it fails to find its own personality. The Blu-ray provides good picture, excellent audio and a handful of moderately informative extras. I like the film but not enough to give it a strong endorsement. Starring Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson. Fox, $39.99, 8/20/

145. Kiss Me Deadly (Criterion Collection) [Blu-Ray] (1955)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A film noir with some odd twists, Kiss Me Deadly holds up well after almost six decades. Not everything here succeeds, but it works most of the time and is an interesting journey. The Blu-ray comes with pretty good picture and audio as well as a fairly nice set of supplements. Both the Blu-ray and the movie are winners. Starring Ralph Meeker, Albert Dekk

146. Cowboys & Aliens [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Blessed with a fine cast and a fun premise, Cowboys & Aliens should delight. However, it seems flat and dull, without the light sense of silly fun it needs. Starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford. Universal, $14.98, 12/6/2011.

147. The Majestic (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ...the movie simply lacks much heart or spirit, factors that cause problems for this sort of sentimental genre.

148. Why We Fight (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not as inflammatory and one-sided as Fahrenheit 9/11, Why We Fight also proves to be much less intriguing and gripping. The movie throws out vague theses and never quite gels into a strong look at its subject. In fact, it never appears all that sure what topic it favors, as it flits around the map. Written and Directed by Eugene Jarecki. Sony Pictu

149. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker [Blu-Ray 3D] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, a decades long saga concludes in a moderately satisfying manner. That feels like faint praise for a film with such high expectations, as Rise becomes an enjoyable but not entirely fulfilling finale. Starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver. Disney, $29.99, 4/20/2020.
