- 211. Tropic Thunder: Director's Cut (2008)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Due to its clever premise and strong cast, Tropic Thunder ends up as a moderate disappointment; it just doesn’t quite live up to expectations. That said, it still entertains much of the time and deserves a look. The DVD offers generally good picture, surprisingly strong audio, and a terrific roster of supplements. Thunder is too inconsistent to earn an e

- 212. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets [4K UHD] (2002)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets provides a small improvement over its predecessor, though both remain too long and somewhat lacking in true magic. Chamber offers a little fun and charm but it seems to try too hard to entertain us at times, and it rarely just lets the material breathe on its own. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson. Warner,

- 213. The Day The Earth Stood Still [Blu-Ray] (2008)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Fans of the original Day the Earth Stood Still greeted its 2008 remake with outrage. I’d like to join them but the new version is just so darned dull that I can’t muster the energy; I don’t care enough about this film to feel real emotion toward it. The Blu-ray provides generally good picture, excellent audio, and a reasonably informative set of extras.

- 214. The Flintstones: The Complete Series [Blu-Ray] (1960-1966)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Sixty years after the series debuted, The Flintstones remains witty, clever and delightful. Of course, not all the episodes hit the mark, but this “Complete Series” collection brings more than enough strong entertainment to make it a keeper. Starring Alan Reed, Mel Blanc. Warner, $84.99, 10/27/2020.

- 215. Man Of Steel [Blu-Ray] (2013)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When I saw A Good Day to Die Hard, I opined that it’d probably end up as my biggest cinematic disappointment of 2013. Perhaps I spoke too soon, as Man of Steel may earn that “honor”. Flawed in almost every possible way, the film craps all over the Superman legacy. The Blu-ray boasts terrific picture and audio along with a fairly solid roster of supplemen

- 216. The Sound Of Music [Blu-Ray] (1965)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I continue to dislike musicals, I must admit that The Sound Of Music presents a fairly satisfying piece that will definitely continue to shine for fans of the genre. The Blu-ray itself provides strong picture and sound plus an excellent selection of supplements. Though the absence of a few previously-released bonus materials creates a small disappo

I absolutely cannot wait for season three to hit my doorstep and if you’re having trouble reading between the lines, Alias: The Complete Second Season comes with my highest recommendation.
