81. Recount (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I wasn’t sure how interesting a film about voting would be, Recount gives us a riveting piece of work. The flick moves at a great pace and turns the source material into fascinating drama ... I can’t call this a stellar DVD, but the movie itself definitely merits your attention. Starring Kevin Spacey, Bob Balaban. HBO Home Video, $19.97, 8/19/2008.

82. Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Mr. & Mrs. Smith threatened to become submerged under all the tabloid escapades associated with it, but the movie still holds up fine on its own. It balances action and romantic comedy in a deft manner to become a light and enjoyable piece of work. Starring Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie. Fox, $29.98, 11/29/2005.

83. Lost In Space [Blu-Ray] (1998)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: No one can call Lost In Space a classic film, and I definitely understand those who loathe it. However, I think the movie offers a reasonably exciting and entertaining piece of work that may not hold up to much scrutiny, but it still comes across as moderate fun. As for the Blu-ray, it provides decent to good visuals, terrific audio, and a mostly inform

84. On Her Majesty's Secret Service [Blu-Ray] (1969)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: On Her Majesty's Secret Service is possibly the most obscure of the "official" Bonds - due to the presence of one-shot George Lazenby as 007 - but it doesn't deserve that status. I don't agree with fans who place it among the very best of the Bonds, but I do find it to be intriguing and enjoyable. Starring George Lazenby, Telly Savalas. MGM, $14.98, 9/

85. Zoolander (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though a moderately enjoyable piece, I doubt they’ll induct Zoolander into the parody hall of fame anytime soon. While the movie has enough entertaining material to warrant a look, it suffers from the blandness of its star; when the lead actor is the worst thing about a movie, that becomes a trap from which it can’t escape. Starring Ben Stiller, Owen W

87. Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone [Blu-Ray] (2001)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In regard to the Blu-ray, it presented erratic but acceptable picture and very good sound but it disappointed terribly when it came to supplements. I’d still recommend Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to fans or anyone who thinks they might enjoy this kind of light fantasy, as the presentation of the film was pretty good. However, the mediocre quali

88. East Of Eden [Blu-Ray Book] (1955)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: East of Eden would remain interesting simply for its historical value. Happily, despite some flaws, it offers a frequently compelling tale with a mix of positives highlighted by some strong performances. The Blu-ray delivers very good picture and audio along with a roster of supplements that works pretty well despite a lackluster audio commentary. I doub

Happily, despite its flaws, it offers a frequently compelling tale with a mix of positives highlighted by some strong performances. The DVD presents pretty positive picture and audio along with a good set of extras. A solid DVD for a quality flick, Eden earns my recommendation. Starri

90. For Your Eyes Only [Blu-Ray] (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I’m not quite sure I can recommend a second purchase for fans who already have the 2006 Ultimate Edition DVD, though. The Blu-ray offers superior visuals, but it doesn’t provide a radical improvement over the very good DVD transfer. If you don’t own the UE, then the Blu-ray is the way to go, but otherwise it’s hard to justify the expense of the Blu-ray.
