- 121. The Hangover [Blu-Ray] (2009)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Probably the biggest sleeper hit of 2009, The Hangover turned into a monster smash and the biggest-grossing “R”-rated comedy of all-time. That doesn’t make it the funniest, though. The film boasts sporadic laughs but never becomes especially amusing. The Blu-ray provides excellent visuals, reasonably good audio, and an average collection of supplements.

- 122. Serial Mom: Collector's Edition (1994)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t think it’s a bad movie, but it’s too often a dull one; its laughs come too infrequently to make it more than a random success ... If you’re part of the John Waters cult, I’m sure you’ll like this disc, but I don’t know if it’ll do much for the uninitiated. Starring Kathleen Turner, Sam Waterston. Universal, $19.98, 5/6/2008.

- 123. The Lone Ranger [Blu-Ray] (2013)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Lone Ranger might not go down as a legendary flop, but it still ended up as a dud. I wanted to like the film but found little to like on display, as it misfired in most ways. The Blu-ray offers excellent picture and audio but comes with a skimpy set of supplements. Fans will appreciate the high quality of its reproduction, but I can’t recommend this

- 124. The Hangover: Extreme Edition [Blu-Ray] (2009)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Fans who already own the original Blu-ray shouldn’t expect this 2010 “Extreme Edition” to give them reason to double dip; it’s the same disc with two minor new extras. If you don’t have the first release, I’d still steer you away from the “Extreme Edition” due to pricing. The original Blu-ray lists for $11 less than the “Extreme Edition”, and I don’t thi

- 125. Miami Vice: Unrated (2006)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Miami Vice avoids the expected kitschy treatment of its source material but it goes too far in the opposite direction. Obsessed with a gritty form of hyper-reality, the film rarely makes much sense and it fails to become a vivid, involving tale. Starring Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx. Universal, $29.98, 12/5/2006.

- 126. Dawn Of The Dead: Unrated Director's Cut (2004)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Not too many remakes better their inspirations, but the 2004 Dawn of the Dead indeed provides a more satisfying flick than its predecessor. Tight and exciting, it melds the horror and action genres to turn into a lively piece. Starring Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames. Universal, $29.98, 10/26/2004.

- 128. One Direction: This Is Us [Blu-Ray] (2013)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In One Direction: This Is Us, we get a look at the world’s biggest pop band circa 2013. With its mix of concert material and behind the scenes footage, it offers an occasionally entertaining take on its subjects, but it remains far too frothy and promotional to boast much impact. The Blu-ray provides good picture and audio along with a decent set of supp
