171. Trainspotting: Collector's Series (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I feared Trainspotting might not have aged well over the last eight years, I needn’t have worried. The movie still seems fresh and exciting, as it remains a vivid and forceful work despite imitators seen since 1996. Starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner. Miramax, $29.99, 6/1/2004.

173. Braveheart: Special Collector's Edition (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It terms of recommendations, I’d advise all fans to snag this Special Collector’s Edition. If you don’t have the old one, this set is definitely the one to get, especially since both retail for the same price. As for fans who possess the original disc, they should snag the SCE as well. It presents notably improved picture along with some good new extras,

174. Spider-Man (2012 Re-Issue) [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After a decade, Spider-Man remains one of my favorite superhero movies; indeed, it might only be second to The Dark Knight on my personal list. While I can’t call it flawless, it’s light, fun and a good representation of the comics. The Blu-ray delivers pretty positive picture, excellent audio and an erratic but generally compelling package of supplement

175. Eight Men Out: 20th Anniversary Edition (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps the best baseball film ever made, Eight Men Out tells a bittersweet tale of talented players who blow it all and pay the price, and it does so in a straightforward but moving manner ... This is a terrific set that I heartily recommend, and that goes for fans who own the old release as well; it offers a big improvement when compared to that disc.

Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Over the years since his 1994 death, Bill Hicks has become something of a comedy legend. If you want to find out why, look somewhere other than American: The Bill Hicks Story. It gives us some interesting notes about suffers from a one-sided perspective. 177. Never Say Never Again: Collector's Edition (1983)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I don’t find much to recommend from this drab Bond “adventure”, though at least this DVD gives the movie good treatment. It improves on the picture and audio of the 2000 release, and the extras add real value. Still, I can’t advise any folks other than Bond diehards to grab this sucker. Starring Sean Connery, Klaus Maria Brandauer. MGM, $19.98, 3/24/2009

179. Spider-Man: Deluxe Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As for folks who already own the original two-disc Spider-Man, should they “upgrade” to the Deluxe Edition? No. While I enjoyed the featurettes connected to the film, they only last about half an hour, and that’s not enough content to warrant a new purchase. The DE is the most generally satisfying Spider-Man on the market, but it’s not worth a “double di

Yes, if the fans in question dig supplements ... it’s the way to go for viewers who want to learn more about the production. Starring James Caviezel, Monica Bellucci. Fox, $26.98, 1/30/2007.
