11. The Wolf of Wall Street [4K UHD] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For a while, The Wolf of Wall Street packs a punch and gives us an entertaining experience. However, it comes saddled with an excessive running time that causes it to run out of steam well before it finally ends. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill. Paramount, $25.99, 12/14/2021.

12. The Great Gatsby [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: 2013’s The Great Gatsby gets an “A” for ambition but falters in terms of emotional resonance. The film defines “looks great, less filling”, as it usually fails to make us care about its characters or situations. The Blu-ray provides mostly solid picture and audio along with a reasonably informative set of bonus materials. Gatsby delivers an unusual enoug

13. Titanic: 10th Anniversary Edition (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: (I)f you already own the 2005 SCE, there’s absolutely no reason to pursue the 10th Anniversary release. If you don’t have the 2005 set, I’d recommend you get it. The only circumstance under which I think a purchase of the 10th Anniversary package makes sense would be if you can get it cheaper than the SCE and also don’t really care about extras. For me,

14. Revenant, The [Blu-Ray] (2015)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With its harsh settings and brutal violence, The Revenant delivers a powerful tale of survival and revenge. It lacks great character or plot nuance but it compensates with its primal sensibility. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy. Fox, $39.99, 4/19/2016.

15. Gangs of New York [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although Gangs of New York won’t go down as Martin Scorsese’s worst film, it also falls far from the top of his pile. The movie presents a handful of enthralling sequences but suffers from a weak script, a messy third act, and a mix of other problems that undercut its strengths. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis. Miramax, $14.98, 2/2/2010.

16. The Departed: Special Edition (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it forms an interesting picture, The Departed doesn’t match up with director Martin Scorsese’s best. It entertains and acts as a worthwhile experience, but it doesn’t leave a substantial impression like Scorsese’s more memorable material. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon. Warner, $34.99, 2/13/2007.

17. Body Of Lies (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: For a thriller ripped from modern headlines, shouldn’t Body of Lies provide a dynamic flick? Yeah, it should, but it doesn’t. Instead, it remains moderately interesting at best, and fairly dull at worst ... Chalk up Lies as a disappointment. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe. Warner, $28.98, 2/17/2009.

18. Romeo + Juliet [Blu-Ray] (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With this 1996 film, Baz Luhrmann brought Shakespeare into the 1990s. He did so in the most ridiculous manner possible, as his Romeo + Juliet becomes an absurd, over the top mess. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Claire Danes. Fox, $9.99, 10/19/2010.

19. Gangs of New York (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Enough of Gangs seems compelling for me to recommend a rental, but don’t expect a whole lot from this flick.

20. Shutter Island [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though I admire Martin Scorsese’s willingness to stretch his cinematic boundaries, Shutter Island indicates that he lacks much aptitude for psychological thrillers. Scorsese makes too much of the film’s subtext obvious so the end result lacks nuance or impact. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo. Paramount, $15.00, 6/8/2010.
