- 51. Casino Royale [4K UHD] (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Bond franchise took a darker path with 2006ís Casino Royale. It commits to a harsher reality and turns into one of the seriesí most satisfying entries. Starring Daniel Craig, Eva Green. MGM, $69.98, 10/22/2019.

- 52. The Birds: Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection (1963)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Good performances, memorable use of sound, and a terrific premise: all of those help make The Birds a winner. Iíve heard rumblings of a remake, but I hope Hollywood leaves well enough alone. This film is more than good enough to stand on its own, and it doesnít need an update. Starring Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy. Universal, $119.98, 10/4/2005.

- 53. The Amazing Spider-Man [Blu-Ray 3D] (2012)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After three mostly fine movies between 2002 and 2007, I hoped 2012ís Amazing Spider-Man would develop the series in equally positive manner. Unfortunately, that didnít happen. While the earlier series did almost everything right, Amazing gets almost everything wrong and feels disconnected from the world of Spider-Man. Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone

- 54. Gandhi: 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I donít care for Gandhi as a film, this 25th Anniversary DVD treats it well. Itís definitely the release to own, and that goes for folks who already have the old disc from 2001. Since this one improves in terms of picture and supplements, it becomes a worthwhile upgrade. Starring Ben Kingsley, Candice Bergen. Sony, $24.96, 2/20/2007.

- 55. Amazing Stories: The Complete First Season (1985)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Back in the Eighties, Amazing Stories never quite seemed to live up to its potential. Viewed 20 years later, the shows vary in quality. Some shine brightly, others meander and lack an impact. Overall, the series has enough hits to be generally entertaining. Created by Steven Spielberg. Universal, $49.98, 7/18/2006.
