31. Cheaper By The Dozen: Baker's Dozen Edition (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you already know you like the movie and wonder if this package merits an “upgrade”, I’d say no. Some of the new supplements are just fine, but there’s not enough of them to warrant an additional purchase. If you don’t have the old disc and want to own Cheaper, I’d definitely recommend this “Baker’s Dozen Edition”, as it’s definitely the superior of th

32. Death At A Funeral [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A remake of a recent British film, Death at a Funeral makes me curious to see the original. While I think the 2010 edition has value, it’s inconsistent enough that I’d like to find out if the prior version suffers from the same flaws or if it works better as a whole ... Whatever the case, the remake boasts fair entertainment and keeps us with it. The Bl

33. The Fall Of The Roman Empire: Limited Collector's Edition (1964)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Fall of the Roman Empire offers a fitfully successful film. It boasts stellar production values, a few excellent performances, and some intriguing story threads, but the pacing lags at times, and a weak turn by its lead actor harms it in a substantial manner. The movie usually works, but it’s less consistent than I’d like ... Nothing here excels, but

34. Game Of Thrones: The Complete First Season [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While not as action-oriented as I expected from a fantasy show, Game of Thrones still proved to be engaging. It creates its own world well and draws us into its characters and situations. The Blu-ray boasts excellent picture quality, solid sound and an extensive roster of supplements. HBO has produced a terrific release for an involving series. Created B

"Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The movie displays some beautiful moments and examples of inspiration, but it generally falls short of its goals.

36. SCTV Network/90: Christmas With SCTV (1981/1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Christmas with SCTV bats .500. One of the episodes is terrific, while the other seems lackluster. Still, there’s a lot of laughs to go around, as mediocre SCTV is still better than most other comedy. Starring John Candy, Eugene Levy. Shout Factory, $14.98, 10/4/2005.

37. The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Fitfully funny and inventive, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy never quite lives up to its potential. It presents more than enough cleverness and humor to make it enjoyable, but it remains a moderate disappointment. Starring Martin Freeman, Mos Def. Buena Vista, $29.99, 9/13/2005.

38. Open Season: Special Edition (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Anyone who looks to Open Season for an inspired animated romp will depart disappointed. The movie avoids the bland mediocrity of some flicks but never manages to make its own name for itself. It feels too derivative and doesn’t boast much to allow it to amuse or delight. Starring Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher. Sony, $29.98, 1/30/2007.

39. Extras: The Complete Second Season (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Extras ends its (intentionally) short run with Season Two. If forced to pick, I’d say I prefer Season One, but S2 offers plenty of good material and seems very satisfying. As for the DVD, it offers perfectly decent picture, audio and supplements. The package doesn’t dazzle, but the show is definitely good enough to encourage my recommendation. Starring R
