- 191. National Lampoon's Vacation: 30th Anniversary Edition [Blu-Ray] (1983)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Over the last 40 years, Vacation turned into something of a comedy classic. I do not feel quite sure it deserves that vaunted status, but the film still seems pretty amusing and entertaining in any case. Starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo. Warner, $12.97, 5/21/2013.

- 192. Devotion [4K UHD] (2022)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: About the first Black naval aviator, Devotion tells a potentially compelling tale. However, it proceeds at a slow pace and lacks the depth it needs to rise above the level of well-meaning but flat. Starring Jonathan Majors, Glen Powell. Paramount, $35.99, 2/28/2023.

- 193. The Nice Guys [Blu-Ray] (2016)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although a good cast gives it some spark, The Nice Guys falls short of expectations. The story becomes too muddled and the script worries more about quirks than clear development. Starring Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling. Warner, $24.95, 8/23/2016.

- 194. Cool Hand Luke: Deluxe Edition (1967)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Cool Hand Luke isn’t just a film with an anti-hero: it’s pretty much anti-everything. This is a movie packed with dysfunctional, flawed characters – and it’s darned fascinating due to those choices. The DVD features very good picture, era-appropriate audio, and a few informative extras. Luke remains an excellent movie, and this new DVD is the one to own.

- 195. The Adventures Of Tintin [Blu-Ray 3D] (2011)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I expected The Adventures of Tintin to be a bit of a dud, I found a pretty good movie. The flick shows a nice sense of spirit and adventure as it delivers a fun, light romp. Starring Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis. Paramount, $34.99, 3/13/2012.

- 196. DreamWorks Spooky Stories [Blu-Ray] (2012)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it probably won’t become a Halloween classic, DreamWorks Spooky Stories offers some good entertainment. The shorts vary in quality but are always at least moderately enjoyable. The Blu-ray provides excellent visuals and solid audio but skimps on supplements. That means the disc’s nearly $27 list price seems a little steep for what you get, but if y

- 197. The Invasion [Blu-Ray] (2007)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Given its failure at the box office, one could assume that The Invasion is a terrible flick. It’s not, though I also can’t call it an especially interesting effort. It’s just good enough to maintain our interest for 99 minutes, but it falls far short of the heights achieved by its more successful predecessors. Starring Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig. Warne

- 199. Twelve [Blu-Ray] (2010)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With scads of characters and situations, Twelve feels like a whole season of a TV series packed into one 90-minute flick. That means a lot of superficial explorations and not much else, as the film’s elements fly by so quickly that they make little impact. The Blu-ray offers excellent visuals, acceptable audio and no real supplements. Short and not espec

- 200. Jarhead 3: The Siege [Blu-Ray] (2016)
-
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though it compares unfavorably with the original flick, Jarhead 3: The Siege still manages to offer a decent action effort. I can’t claim it excels in any way, but it presents a minor diversion – sometimes “it didn’t suck” is its own victory. Starring Charlie Weber, Scott Adkins. Universal, $22.98, 6/7/2016.
