52. Batman Forever [4K UHD] (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Batman Forever is about as mediocre as a Batman flick could be. It has some interesting moments, and most of the actors do their best, but after the thrills of the two Tim Burton-directed affairs, this Joel Schumacher effort comes across as all style and little substance. Starring Val Kilmer, Jim Carrey. Warner, $41.99, 6/4/2019.

53. Daredevil (2003)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I don’t consider Daredevil to qualify as one of the great comic book movies, it seems better than average. It tries a little too hard to be dark and brooding at times, but it remains generally lively and entertaining. Starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner. Fox, $29.98, 7/29/2003.

54. Annie Hall [Blu-Ray] (1977)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: After 35 years, Annie Hall remains arguably Woody Allen’s finest achievement. I might prefer a couple of other films, but it’s still a strong enterprise with few flaws. The Blu-ray provides good picture and acceptable audio but skimps of supplements. I wish Allen would open up to bonus materials, but I don’t blame the Blu-ray’s producers for this issue.

55. Manhattan [Blu-Ray] (1979)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Frankly, I didn't think much of Manhattan. It remained largely watchable and mildly entertaining, but it seemed shallow and lacked characters or events that would interest me. TheBlu-ray delivers very good visuals and acceptable audio but lacks supplements. I’m not wild about Manhattan but feel sure that its fans will be pleased by its presentation here.

56. Father Of The Bride: Father Of The Bride Collection [Blu-Ray] (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I actively disliked Father of the Bride when I saw it 20-plus years ago, and I can’t stand the film now. Its values seem misguided at best, and even when I ignore that factor, it’s simply bland, lowest common denominator comedy at its most forgettable. The Blu-ray brings us pretty good picture and audio along with supplements led by an enjoyable audio co

57. Green Lantern: The Animated Series - Season 1, Part 1 (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Never one of my favorite superheroes, Green Lantern works better than ever in the generally excellent collection of shows found for Season One, Part One of The Animated Series. Even the missteps seem minor, as this is a usually tight, fun set of programs. The DVD delivers very good picture quality but audio is mediocre and we get virtually no supplements

59. Beetlejuice [4K UHD] (1988)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a film, Beetlejuice doesn’t compete with the best work from Tim Burton, but that statement relates more strongly to the high quality of his other films, for Beetlejuice remains a funny and effective flick. Starring Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin. Warner, $29.98, 9/1/2020.
