41. A Slight Case Of Murder (1938)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When A Slight Case of Murder works, it does so due to a fun, self-effacing performance from Edward G. Robinson and a good level of restraint. When it flops, it does so due to predictable guys and its one-note nature. Starring Edward G. Robinson, Jane Bryan. Warner, $19.97, 7/18/2006.

42. The Maltese Falcon [4K UHD] (1941)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite my teenage dislike of the film, as an adult I find The Maltese Falcon to provide a tight and intriguing story. The movie tells its tale in a vibrant and concise manner and seemed to deserve its reputation as a classic. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor. Warner, $33.99, 4/1/2023.

43. "G" Men (1935)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: ”G” Men has its occasional moments, mainly when it gets into its action. Unfortunately, it comes with thin characters and a lot of awkward development. Those serve to make it an illogical, artificial exercise. Starring James Cagney, Margaret Lindsay. Warner, $19.97, 7/18/2006.

45. The Natural [Blu-Ray] (1984)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I feared The Natural would become another of Barry Levinson’s sickly sentimental stinkers, it avoids the usual traps. Instead, it offers a stirring and engaging fantasy. The Blu-ray presents good picture and excellent audio along with a very good collection of supplements. Fans of the film should be pleased with this satisfying Blu-ray. Starrin

46. Thelma & Louise: Criterion Collection [Blu-Ray] (1991)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: More than three decades down the road, Thelma & Louise lacks some of the spark caused by then-current controversies, but it still offers an interesting and well executed outlaw flick. The gender of its protagonists continues to give it a nice twist, and the movie seems solid across the board. Starring Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis. Criterion, $39.95,

The 2006 release adds plenty of terrific extras and offers greatly improved picture quality. This is a stellar set that I recommend without hesitation. Starring Humphrey Bogart. Warner, $29
