41. Taxi Driver [Blu-Ray] (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Dark and haunting, Taxi Driver provides a rich examination of a deeply troubled character. The movie paints a full picture of its subject and remains effective after 35 years. The Blu-ray presents excellent picture and extras as well as very good audio. The Blu-ray becomes the optimal version of this classic film. Starring Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster. S

42. Taxi Driver: 2007 Collector's Edition (1976)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: I definitely recommend this two-disc Collectorís Edition of Taxi Driver to anyone with an interest in the flick. That goes for fans who already own the old 1999 DVD. This one improves upon its picture and audio and adds a bunch of nice extras. Itís a very strong set. Starring Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster. Sony, $24.96, 8/14/2007.

43. King Kong: Special Edition (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Though the movie sags during its first act, the excitement and thrills of the subsequent two hours make up for its flaws. The DVD offers virtually flawless picture and audio along with a nice set of informative extras. I definitely recommend Kong and think this two-DVD Special Edition stands as its best current iteration. Starring Naomi Watts, Jack Black

44. Superbad: Unrated Special Edition (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you expect a deep, inspiring cinematic journey, donít watch Superbad. If you want a crude but clever and often very funny romp, Superbad will be a fine choice ... Both an entertaining movie and a pretty good DVD, Superbad earns my recommendation. Starring Jonah Hill, Michael Cera. Sony, $34.95, 12/4/2007.

45. The Sopranos: The Complete Third Season (2001)
Reviewed by Blake Kenny: Itís hard to dispute the fact that the Sopranos is one of the greatest television dramas to come along in quite some time.

46. Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer (2017)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Due to a strong lead performance by Richard Gere, Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer remains fairly engaging. However, its narrative flow lets it down and makes it more of a slog to watch than Iíd expect. Starring Richard Gere, Lior Ashkenazi. Sony, $25.99, 7/11/2017.

47. Battle Of Britain (1969)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Something like The Battle of Britain should have been right up my alley. Unfortunately, the film skimped on excitement and concentrated too much on spectacle and its thinly drawn characters. Starring Michael Caine, Laurence Olivier. MGM, $14.95, 5/20/2003.

48. Fort Apache [Blu-Ray] (1948)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With John Ford behind the camera and Henry Fonda and John Wayne in front of it, Fort Apache boasted the potential to become a great film. And it threatens to reach the level, but its first two acts meander too much for it to get there. The Blu-ray provides very good picture, perfectly acceptable audio and a reasonably informative commentary. While I thin

49. King Of New York: Special Edition (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Apparently King of New York enjoys a positive reputation as a gangster classic, but for the life of me, I canít figure out why. The movie seems dull and shallow and goes virtually nowhere. Starring Christopher Walken, Laurence Fishburne. Artisan, $19.98, 4/20/2004.

50. Sleepers [Blu-Ray] (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Sleepers ends up as one of Barry Levinsonís better movies, that doesnít mean it comes without flaws. It gives us an interesting and occasionally emotional tale but it lacks the depth and intelligence to make it something more involving and dynamic. The Blu-ray comes with good picture and audio but omits any significant supplements. This one feels l
